Greatmats Annual National Instructor of the Year Award Series

Honoring Positively Influential Coaches, Instructors and Trainers

When it comes to paying it forward, Greatmats 5th Annual National Award Series has shed light on more than 180 individuals across the country in numerous industries who do it well. This year the Series has awarded eight of the best for their positive impact and service to their communities with national awards.

Each of these award winners were nominated by members of their communities and underwent an online vote the second half of November that generated nearly 400,000 total votes. The top 2 vote getters in each category were named finalists, and Greatmats chose the winners from those finalists based on numerous factors, including demonstration of quality, integrity and positive community impact.

Here are your 2019 Greatmats National Award Series Winners:

National Dance Instructor of the Year: Marianne Brash-Rieg - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

National Horse Trainer of the Year: PJ O’Connell - Elizabethtown, Kentucky

National Dog Trainer of the Year: Abbey Beasley - Pataskala, Ohio

National Striking Martial Arts Instructor of the Year: Leo Liuzza - Las Vegas, Nevada

National Grappling Martial Arts Instructor of the Year: Amanda Leve - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

National Gymnastics Coach of the Year: Aimee Walker Pond - Lehi, Utah

The Greatmats National Award Series was founded in 2015 and is the first of its kind to recognize such a diverse group of individuals for both their positive professional and community influence. This is the 5th annual national awards competition to honor Dance Instructors, Dog Trainers and Horse Trainers. It has since expanded its National Award Series to include Martial Arts Instructors, Cheer Coaches, Fitness Trainers and Gymnastics Coaches. Over the first 5 years of the National Awards Series more than 511,500 votes have been cast to honor these great instructors.

The Grand Prizes include at least the following for each winner

- $250 in Greatmats Products (or $150 Cash Option) for the winner's related business
- Winner profile story
- Greatmats national award certificate
