Coach Angel Howard has helped me a lot in my first 2 years of being a Cheerleader. She is like a second mom to all of us girls. I could go to Coach Howard for literally anything weather it's troubles with a cheer to issues with a boy. If there was anyway I could give back to her for all she's done for my team and teams before us it would be this. ------- Coach Angel Howard has ALWAYS gone above and beyond for her team. She truly made the team a family and absolutely never put her needs before any of her athletes. She loves her team as if they were her own children, so much so that everyone on the team knows they can call her day or night with whatever issue and she will always be there. She has spent not only countless hours of her own time but also much of her own money to go into the team for things like gloves for games so our hands stay warm. Angel Howard truly goes above and beyond for her job and it shows in everything she does.

Abriel Fisher coaches 4 teams, and every girl that has been through the program during her time with us has done nothing but love her. Us parents can see that she obviously loves our girls with her whole heart and would do anything for them. We all think that she deserves more recognition for what she does for our girls (and us). She truly goes above and beyond in everything she does.

Not only is Tabitha Grassmid an amazing coach, she's an amazing friend. My daughter, Lucy was in dance class with her two daughters and was never stretched, didn't move a muscle, didn't have fun. I thought that this type of activity wasn't for her! But then Tabitha told me that she was going to coach cheer and that her daughters were going to be in that, and she would love Lucy to attend. I figured Lucy would act the same way! But she is exceeding expectations in cheer, and I'm so proud. I know for a fact that has a ton to do with her coach being so motivating, encouraging, and instilling BELIEF while really challenging her. I get so excited when I see videos or practices with the whole team! It's so awesome to see her getting completely outside of her comfort zone.

Coach Niki Warner has built Clay Rebels from the ground up. Started with nothing and took us to national champions on our first year as an association. All while working a full time job, and raising 5 daughters on her own. This woman is amazing. I have never met anyone like her in my life, and honestly believe I never will again.

I'm nominating my coach for this because not only are we 7-time national champions, 12-time state champions and 2-time CIF champions, but Kori Johnson always puts her team first! She puts the program ahead of herself and does what's best for our team as a whole, she models integrity and morals she teaches us about teamwork and how it is all of us that makes our program a success, she never takes the credit for our success but will take the blame for our failures. She lifts us up and makes us feel important as individuals but also important as a team. She shows us what doing the right thing looks like. Even when it's the hard thing. She leads us by never giving up on us!

Reylene Abbott deserves the honor of receiving the coach of the year award. Coach Rey has been in the cheerleading industry for 21 years and has an impressive background. She has national championships to her name and has qualified for state every year. She has coached junior high, high school, all-star level 1-6, and collegiate cheer. What makes Coach Rey stand out from the rest is her ability to create a community. Currently she is coaching a 1A team in Hansen, Idaho. The school has not had a successful program in the past, but Rey saw potential in the team and took the program over. Skill wise, the program has never looked better or safer. Hansen is a school with zero district titles in any sport and they sit at a very promising position to receive the first ever athletic district title. Coach Rey has given her team a home. She is diligent when it comes to checking grades and encourages sportsmanship throughout the district. Coach Rey will host a December Christmas event for all the cheer teams in our valley. It's a time the cheerleaders put away their competitive differences and bond for a few hours. I have seen the direct impact this event has made in sportsmanship at our local competitions. On top of that, Coach Rey organizes many community service events and drives. Our local homeless shelter is a steady partner with our cheer program to ensure basic needs are met. More than that, Coach Rey uses her position at the College of Southern Idaho Foundation to ensure all of our juniors and seniors throughout the school are informed and ready for college. Hansen has not been known to have a high go on rate but through the scholarships and guidance Coach Rey volunteers it is becoming a reality for our students. Coach Rey not only donates her extensive time to the Hansen cheer program she financially supports them as well. Every time the team gets something new she will say "A sponsor stepped up to provide these", we all know that sponsor was her even if she refuses to take the recognition. You will not find someone more humble with their knowledge and previous awards than Coach Rey which is why she deserves this recognition. She has turned away many D1 collegiate coaching offers to ensure the kids of Hansen Jr./Sr. High are well taken care of.

Coach Kia Dupree has been in the organization for three years now. She has helped the organization grow with the love and passion for these girls. Coach Kia has become a mentor and a second mom to these girls. She prays with them and even cry with them. Most of all she believes in them when no one else would. Amie Smarr has always pushed us to be our best and has always shown good sportsmanship. She has reminded us if we ever need someone to go to she's there for us. She cares for every one of her cheerleaders of all divisions.I think every girl on every division would say they've learned something new about cheer at every cheer practice. She has taught us everything from tumbling skills to stunt sequences all so all of her cheerleaders can be the best version of themselves. She truly is the best coach and i think so many other cheerleaders would agree!

Elicia Morigeau has been a role model for me for such a large part of my life. She deserves this because she puts in limitless hours into perfecting the routine every year. She has sacrificed so much for Storm, just so they could feel confident and have a killer routine on the mat. I graduated from the team in 2019 but I still visit the team because Storm is a family and it always will be. My little sister has started at Storm, she loves it just as much as I did. Outside of the team and all of the late night practices, Elicia was like family to me and we had a very close bond. She's helped me through so many things in life and she does that to everyone she encounters. She has such a kind soul and anyone that meets her will say the same. ------------ Elicia is an amazing coach with a big heart. She does so much for our athletes and we are so glad she is ours. ----------- She is the most amazing coach in the entire world. She has been there for me throughout my entire high school journey and has helped me so much to both gain so many cheer skills and to grow as a person. She truly is the best coach anyone could ask for. ----------- She always is there for us inside of cheer and outside of cheer, no matter the time or what's going on she's there for us. She really puts her whole heart into the organization from the hours and hours it takes coaching 4 teams, taking time from her weekends and days off to help move into a building and make it our own, the hours she spends at home making the routine and thinking about what she can add to give us the best chance to win. We are like a family and without her we wouldn't have a mom in this family she truly opens her heart to all of us and makes sure we feel loved just like her own kids. She makes sure we do community work such as helping with fairs and doing shop with a cop during Christmas time. She is changing the way our small town thinks of cheerleaders and cheer teams.
