Use Types for G-Floor Vinyl Flooring

Some of the most common locations our customers use G-Floor vinyl flooring include the following.

Garages for Vehicle Parking

Garage floors need to stand up to significant weight when parking vehicles. The G-Floor Levant Tread Garage Floor Roll offers resistance to corrosive materials, like oil, gasoline, and antifreeze. You can park cars, motorcycles, mowers, golf carts, and more on top of it.

Pets

This is a 100% waterproof material, which makes it ideal for use around pets and in their kennels. The G-Floor Ribbed Tread Vinyl Multipurpose Roll is available in several colors and has a raised ribbed surface.

G-Floor Vinyl Flooring Q&A

Is the material a hard plastic, or is it flexible?

The material for G-Floor is 100% polyvinyl and is very flexible. Even the thickest 75 mil product is flexible.

Does the G-Floor flooring trap moisture?

Moisture coming through the concrete subfloor should be addressed before installing most floor coverings. When installing over concrete, it is recommended that G-Floor be installed over a clean and dry subfloor. G-Floor is waterproof and will not allow water to penetrate in either direction. If there is water on the floor before installation, though, it can collect and cause mold to grow.

Is G-Floor resistant to chemicals and acids?

G-Floor is resistant to oil, salt, brake fluid, antifreeze, battery acid, and most contaminants found in a garage. It is recommended that chemical spills be cleaned up quickly, though, as any chemical could stain the product if left in place for an extended period of time.

Will the flooring withstand sparks from grinding or welding?

G-Floor passes critical radiant flux (ASTM E-648) testing. It may melt but will not ignite.

How do you install and cut the vinyl flooring rolls?

To install the vinyl flooring, join the rolls with seam tape or use adhesive. Adhesive is recommended for outdoor installations or layouts on stairs. Otherwise, the weight of the material should hold it in place without requiring adhesive. These rolls can be cut to fit with a sharp utility knife using a straight edge.

Can this be installed over radiant heat floors?

It is safe for use on radiant heat floors. For the garage flooring rolls, it should be completely adhered to the subfloor. The heated floor will cause expansion and contraction if it is not glued down.
