LonMetro Commercial Low VOC Vinyl Flooring Roll, 6x60 Feet
For a striking color option in a vinyl roll of flooring, rely on the LonMetro Commercial Low VOC Vinyl Flooring Roll. These rolls are available in red, white, or black, delivering an eye-catching flooring color that’s outside the norm.
When a customer is looking to create a certain feeling for visitors as they enter a room in a retail building, a school, a museum, or an office building, the uncommon solid color option in this low VOC vinyl flooring will provide the desired results.
Black vinyl, red vinyl, or white vinyl can yield a sophisticated flooring solution that is the best way to deliver an unforgettable design.
At the factory, the manufacturer applies a coat of urethane finish over the surface of the flooring that includes protection against ultra violet light (or U V). This layer also delivers high levels of chemical resistance, making the floor highly durable.
GreenAir Certified Flooring
For those customers who need a type of low VOC vinyl flooring that will meet GreenAir standards, our LonMetro model will deliver this result.
VOCs, or volatile organic compounds, can create emissions that affect the indoor air quality of the room. Floors that emit VOCs regularly can create problems for those working in the area.
Our flooring matches GreenAir standards, which measure the emissions of VOCs and set limitations on the level of VOCs the floor can emit.
Additionally, our laminate offers multiple other environmental benefits, including:
- International quality assurance standards for JIS Q 9001:2004 and JIS Q 9001:2000.
- GreenMedic certification, which delivers a microbial resistance formulation that makes the flooring safer.
- FloorScore certification, which is a certification that ensures acceptable levels of indoor air quality.
- LEED MR 4.1 and MR 4.2 credits, which measure the level of low emitting materials for adhesive and sealant used with the flooring.
- Recycled material, as each roll contains between 20% and 40% of post-industrial recycled content.
Professional Installation Process
In most cases, customers will need to hire a professional to take on the installation process. Because this roll measures 6 feet in width, the installation often will require at least two sheets of this vinyl side by side to cover the entire width of the room.
To create the most secure installation, after gluing the vinyl to the subfloor, installers will need to heat weld the seams between the sheets of vinyl. Because of the urethane finish applied at the factory to this low VOC vinyl flooring, a chemical weld process is not possible.
Heat welding is a process best undertaken by a professional who has the equipment and know-how to complete the welding properly.
To adhere the vinyl to the subfloor, installers will need to use an approved type of adhesive on the back side of the roll of vinyl. Using a non-approved adhesive could create an improper fit for the flooring, leaving it feeling unsteady or loose.
In certain circumstances and planned use cases, the installer may be able to adhere the vinyl to the subfloor making use of a double-faced tape, which simplifies the process.
Proper preparation of the subfloor is a necessity as well. Concrete or plywood subfloors should be free of damage, indents, cracks, or holes. Because this vinyl is so thin, measuring only 0.1 inch in thickness, it may show imperfections in the subflooring, if any of them exist.

Maintenance and Care
Maintaining the sheet vinyl is an easy process, meaning customers can spend less time cleaning and caring for this low VOC vinyl flooring, giving them more time to focus on their businesses.
For regular maintenance, use a dust mop, a broom, or a vacuum cleaner to remove dry debris from the surface. Should the floor have sticky solids on it, such as gum, customers should use a putty knife to scrape the solid and remove it. Use the putty knife carefully to reduce the risk of gouging the floor.
When it’s time to remove stubborn stains from the vinyl, customers can make use of a mop or an auto-scrubbing machine set on a low speed. The cleaning solution can consist of a neutral pH solution mixed with warm water.
The manufacturer does not recommend applying any additional finish to this LonMetro flooring. The manufacturer applies a high gloss urethane finish at the factory, and this finish should seal the floor and maintain its high quality look for many years. Do not strip away this original finish.
Each roll carries a 10-year limited manufacturer warranty, and customers can receive a far greater lifespan from the floor by providing proper maintenance for it.
Mop with a neutral pH cleaner.
