Our LonDeck Sierra line of outdoor vinyl flooring features a resilient slightly embossed surface that can provides added traction and can withstand high volumes of pedestrian traffic and weather-wear. Because of its versatility LonDeck can been utilized in spaces such as pools, hotels, decks, and stairways. Though specifically designed for exterior spaces, the LonDeck line is equally appropriate for interiors.

It is especially useful in an area with quite a bit of foot traffic. The slightly embossed surface texture on the flooring will help to hide scuffs and minor soils, meaning customers will not need to clean the flooring quite as often. The floor’s durability ensures it will maintain its look, even under regular pedestrian traffic.

The embossed surface also delivers a bit of traction for people walking across it and using it. When the weather is damp or when installing the rolled vinyl decking near a pool or hot tub where splashing may occur, the embossing will help people maintain a sure footing, reducing the chance of slip and fall injuries.

Some customers, especially hotels, may want to install this flooring both indoors and outdoors, especially in areas where people can see both areas through a glass wall. In a pool area, using the same color of this flooring in a covered indoor seating area and in the sunny outdoor area near the pool provides a pleasing look.

Maintenance and Care

One of the biggest advantages of our rolled vinyl decking is its ease of maintenance and cleaning. Because the manufacturer makes this style of LonSeal flooring primarily for outdoor use, it will continue to look like new and deliver outstanding quality, even without daily cleaning.

As needed, customers may sweep the flooring to remove dry debris, dust, and dirt. In an outdoor location, rinsing the floor with a low pressure nozzle on a garden hose often will deliver the desired results.

If needing to remove soils, customers can run a slow speed rotary floor machine over the vinyl deck rolls. Keep the rotary speed at 300 rpm or less. Another option is scrubbing the soils with a deck brush. The vinyl can stand up to vigorous scrubbing without showing wear and tear.

After applying the neutral pH cleaner, if residue remains behind, the customer can mop the floor with clean water and allow it to air dry.

For preventative maintenance, the manufacturer recommends immediately cleaning all spills that could lead to staining. If heavy furniture will sit on the top of the vinyl, the manufacturer recommends using furniture glides or protectors when sliding furniture over the vinyl’s surface.

Glazing of the welding thread is required. No specific welding tread exists for Mount Tan. The thread listed is the closest match possible, but some color variation may be noticeable. Welding thread listed for Londeck products (if applicable) are for interior installations only; exterior installations of Londeck products must always use overlap welds.

Maintenance

Use trisodium phosphate (TSP) diluted 1/4 cup of TSP in 1 gallon of warm water and scrub vigorously with a deck brush.
