Ease of Installation of the Vinyl Squares

Our LVT flooring squares have a design that makes them easy to install. The tiles contain adhesive pre-installed on the edges, which reduces the mess of the installation process.

Customers do not need to hire professionals to perform the installation. Anyone who has experience with even simple home improvement projects should be able to do the work quickly and successfully.

Just press the adhesive edges together on adjacent tiles, and the glue on the edges of the squares will hold them tightly together.

Before installing the squares, customers should remove any quarter-round and trim work from the edges of the room near the floor. Remove any transition between rooms as well. After completing the installation, replace the trim work, going over the top of the new tiles.

Certain types of subflooring may need to have an underlayment installed before putting down the square tiles. When going over the top of a concrete subfloor that could have moisture issues, install a vapor barrier layer. If the subfloor is not completely level, the installer may choose to add underlayment.

Start with a square tile in one corner of the room. Attach tiles to it to create a row that goes across the room until reaching the far corner.

Leave an expansion gap of 1/8 inches between the wall and the edges of the tiles. This vinyl material may expand slightly when exposed to varying levels of humidity in the air and to different temperatures in the room.

When reaching the far wall, the installer may need to cut the tile to fit in the remaining space. A utility knife and straightedge will make the process go smoothly.

When measuring the space, be sure to account for the expansion gap before cutting. Installers may have to cut the tiles to fit around cabinets or support posts as well.

Maintenance and Care

Cleaning and maintenance is an easy process with this LVT flooring product.

For regular cleaning needs, run a broom, dust mop, or gentle vacuum cleaner over the luxury vinyl.

When a more thorough cleaning is needed, use a damp mop over the surface of the flooring. Just use a mixture of water and a neutral pH cleaner with the mop. A spray mop with microfiber pads will also work for this type of cleaning.

Maintenance

Vacuum or dust mop with a micro-fiber mop to remove all surface soil, sand and grit. Damp mop to remove surface soil using spray mop with micro-fiber pads and neutral pH cleaner.
