HiddenLock Garage Tiles, Oil Resistant Automotive Flooring
Our HiddenLock Coin Floor Tile Black product is a durable commercial quality modular floor tile that features a hidden locking design to hold the tiles securely together. This attractive black floor tile works beautifully for a variety of applications, including warehouse floors, basement floors, garage flooring, and entrance ways.
Because of the way the HiddenLock garage tiles fit together, you'll reduce the number of seams in your floor. Our coin garage floor option is durable enough for foot and vehicle traffic, while remaining resistant to most acids and oils. It even can easily handle the weight of cars, trucks, or forklifts.
This style of flooring is extremely popular among our customers, as they are able to use it in so many different situations where a tough, versatile floor is required.
Potential Usage Scenarios
Our customers love the durability and sharp look that this garage floor tile provides. It's also a versatile type of flooring that will give you great results for a long period of time in many different usage scenarios.
Basement Floor: You'll appreciate the quality of this PVC garage flooring when installing it in a basement. In areas of your basement where you have a cement floor or an old, worn laminate tile, the HiddenLock Coin Floor Tile Black product will give you a much better looking floor that can stand up to any kind of activity. Additionally, the flooring will support the weight of workout equipment or a washer and dryer that often can be found in a basement area.
Entryway Floor: This coin garage floor works well in entryways to a home, business, or warehouse. The textured surface of the floor helps people maintain their footing, even if the floor becomes wet. And it's a nice looking style of floor that customers and guests will appreciate.
Garage Floor: Our oil resistant automotive flooring is a perfect option in a garage, where leaks and spills are common. This type of interlocking automotive floor can handle the weight of vehicles, thanks to its tough PVC plastic construction material. Additionally, because people often are walking in a wet garage after rain or snow, the coin shaped texture on the surface of the tiles can help you maintain your footing on wet floors. These tiles do not absorb liquid either, making them perfect for a garage area where vehicles will track rain and snow after you return home from driving.
Warehouse Floor: This PVC garage flooring is a smart idea in a warehouse too. It stands up to all kinds of weight without collapsing, which fits well inside a warehouse where a variety of materials might be stored. And if you're using a forklift inside the warehouse, this coin garage floor can handle the weight.
Wet Areas: Many of our customers choose to use the PVC garage flooring in areas where the floor could become wet. These tiles will not absorb or retain moisture, meaning you don't have to worry about mildew or mold forming with this style of flooring versus using a flooring like carpeting. However, if the moisture seeps up from the sub-floor, such as through cement in a basement floor, the moisture could be trapped under this style of coin garage floor. We do offer other types of flooring tiles that slightly lift the tiles away from the sub-flooring, allowing air to flow beneath the tiles and evaporate moisture. Our customer service team can help you learn about other types of tiles, if those would be more appropriate for your situation.
We should mention that in areas where forklifts or other heavy vehicles will be turning frequently on this garage floor tile, you may want to glue the tiles together. Excessive, sharp turns from heavy vehicles like forklifts may put stress on the interlocking design of this tile, occasionally causing it to pull apart. Gluing the tiles will prevent this problem.
Some customers choose to have these tiles on hand for a temporary style of flooring too. For example, if you're traveling to a trade show or if you need to create a temporary meeting area for customers in your warehouse, you can install these tiles for a short-term purpose and then uninstall them when finished.
High Quality Materials
Our garage floor tile is one of the toughest flooring materials you can make use of in your home or business. These PVC plastic tiles carry a 5-year limited manufacturer warranty, which means you can count on these tiles lasting for a long time, giving you a good value.
Because these tiles are a Made in the USA product, you know we've included only the highest quality of materials in this garage floor tile. Each tile has a Shore A 93 material hardness rating, which explains how these thin PVC garage flooring tiles are able to stand up to extremely heavy weights.
Keep in mind that this HiddenLock Coin Floor Tile Black product is not UV treated, meaning you should not use it outdoors. Additionally, these tiles are not reversible, which means if the top surface of the coin garage floor is damaged, you'll have to replace the entire tile, rather than flipping it over to the other side. Fortunately, because of the interlocking installation process for these tiles, you can pop in a new tile relatively easily.
Easy Connection Design
The black floor will look great in many different installations. And you can put these tiles in place relatively quickly, thanks to the simple connection system built into them.
Two of the edges of the PVC garage flooring tile have tabs that are visible, extending beyond the edges of the tile, while the other two sides have slots hidden underneath the edges of the tile. You'll place the edge of the tile with the tabs on the floor and then lay the edge of the second tile with the hidden slots over the top of it. Just step on the edge of the two lined-up tiles, and the two sections will pop together.
By using this slot and tab system with these tiles, you won't see the connection tabs or slots once the coin garage floor is installed. All you'll see are thin seams between the individual tiles, which measure 12 by 12 inches in size and 1/4 inch in thickness. This style of installation gives these tiles and this type of flooring a very clean look that's great in many different areas of your home or business.
Additionally, with this style of interlocking system for our garage floor tile, you will not lose any of the coverage area of the tile to the interlock. Each tile covers 1 square foot of area before and after it's installed, unlike what you would find with a puzzle style of tile.
You should not have any problems moving these tiles around or lining them up for installation. Each individual HiddenLock Coin Floor Tile Black product only weighs 1.2 pounds, which means you can move these tiles and install them alone if needed.
Because of the interlocking design in the PVC garage flooring, you do not need to use any adhesive to connect the tiles together. They pop securely into place using the interconnecting design for this coin garage floor. As an additional advantage, by not using adhesive on the tiles during the installation process, you can take these tiles apart later if you need to return to the sub-floor.
You will not have border strips available for these tiles, so there will be a thin lip if you install the garage floor tile in the middle of a room in an island installation. However, because this lip is only 1/4 of an inch, it shouldn't represent a significant tripping hazard.
Finally, you may need to cut the individual tiles occasionally to fit a certain square footage in a wall-to-wall installation. For an island installation, some people choose to cut off the visible tabs from two edges of the tiles to create a cleaner look.
Either way, cutting the tiles is relatively easy with a sharp utility knife and a straight edge. Because these PVC garage flooring tiles are so thin, you often can cut completely through the tiles with a few knife strokes. Or you can score the tiles and then snap them apart.
This PVC garage flooring product should be sealed with our PVC floor sealer when used in an automotive environment where the floors tiles may come in contact with car or truck tires. Please contact customer service for information regarding the appropriate sealer.
When you're ready to clean the HiddenLock Coin Floor Tile Black product, you can damp mop the surface of the tile with water and common household floor cleaners. Just avoid using bleach on these coin garage floor tiles.
