SupraTile Diamond Pattern Black / Grays 4.5 mm x 20x20 Inches
For a high performance, economical SupraTile Diamond Pattern Black / Grays 4.5 mm x 20x20 Inches for garage or warehouse flooring, select the SupraTile 4.5mm Diamond Series. The Supratile 4.5mm Diamond Series is our most economical floor tile, yet has the high performance needed for thousands of applications, including aircraft hangars. Solid PVC polymer construction is quiet and comfortable to walk on, not noisy like inexpensive polypropylene garage type tiles. Approximately seven times thicker than a 100% solid epoxy floor, yet priced lower than most common installed epoxy floors. The Supratile 4.5mm Series is the best choice and value for thousands of different uses.
At only 4.5 mm in thickness, this interlocking flooring has a highly competitive price point, yet it also carries a 20-year manufacturer warranty, ensuring that customers receive excellent value. This product is made from 80% recycled content.
Size and Shape Options
Each diamond plate floor tile has a roughly squarish shape. Because each tile makes use of a jigsaw puzzle-style edge, it is not a perfect square, though.
At 4.5 mm in thickness (about 0.177 inches), this is a thin and lightweight tile. An individual tile weighs only 3.2 pounds. Installers can carry several of these lightweight tiles to the installation area, which makes the work go faster versus trying to install heavier tiles.
Material Options
This diamond plate floor tile consists of PVC plastic. The polyvinyl chloride material has more flexibility than some other materials, providing a bit of comfort in an area where people will be standing and working or walking for several hours a day.
Unlike some other flooring materials, PVC’s vinyl top surface does not generate noise when people are walking over the top of it. These mats have the ability to support foot traffic as well as passenger car traffic in a garage.
PVC will last a long time while being easy to clean. PVC does not soak up water, so it is an ideal selection in areas where water and moisture may frequently appear. PVC remains resistant to impact marks and abrasions from rough treatment. Both commercial and residential locations can use PVC tiling successfully.
Pattern and Texture Options
One of the biggest benefits of our diamond plate floor tile is the extra traction it provides versus smooth flooring. These mats include a diamond-shaped pattern molded into the top layer of the PVC, providing traction in wet conditions.
The molded pattern does not extend a significant distance above the top of the tile’s surface, meaning it should not create a tripping or stumbling hazard for those using the floors.
The diamond tread also provides an eye-catching look, making these tiles suitable to use in almost any location in a home or business.
Customers can select among three solid color options black, dark gray, and light gray. Each color family uses the same interlocking edge, so installers can mix and match colors if desired. However, the jigsaw edge pattern will be clearly visible if switching colors.
Should customers need a different tread pattern (such as a coin top) or other colors, Greatmats offers many different options.
Common Use Options
Because of the lightweight nature of our diamond plate floor tile product, customers can install the tiles in a wide range of locations, including in vehicles, such as in a trailer. Rather than spending the money for a custom floor in a light aircraft, customers can easily install these tiles.
These tiles are tough enough to stand up to a variety of use cases in industrial or commercial locations. Customers can park passenger vehicles on them, and the PVC will not crack or collapse. (For those who need to support heavy trucks, forklifts, or large aircraft in a hangar, we would suggest one of our thicker PVC SupraTile options.)
In residential locations, homeowners may choose to install them in a basement or mudroom, where moisture can be a frequent problem. Some people prefer the look of these PVC tiles in a garage that sometimes contains parked cars and sometimes serves as a man cave.
Installation Options
Installation is an easy process with these interlocking tiles and will work as a DIY job. Just line up the tabs on one tile with the slots on an adjacent tile and press them together. Because the tiles are not thick, they fit together without much force required.
Installers do not need to add glue to the interlocking edges to ensure that the tiles hold together under the stress of people walking on them and vehicles driving on them.
Should you need to cut the tiles to create a straight edge to fit tightly against a wall, a utility knife can go through the thin material in very little time.
Cleaning and Maintenance Requirements
Cleaning PVC flooring tiles is an easy process. Just sweep or vacuum the tiles to remove dry debris.
To wash the tiles, you can use common household floor cleaners diluted with warm water. Apply the solution with a mop and allow the area to air dry.
In areas where a floor drain is available, customers can rinse these tiles with a power washer in a gentle setting or with a sprayer. PVC will not soak up water.
Maintenance
Clean with damp mop, hot water and common household floor cleaner.
