Fast and Lower Cost Shipping Ohio, Wyoming, Arkansas, Minnesota and In Between
Greatmats offers rubber flooring options that are shipped out of the Midwest, providing faster and lower cost shipping possibilities for customers located in North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, Colorado, Nebraska, Kansas, Arkansas, Missouri, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin and Minnesota.
Rubber flooring rolls give customers an extremely economical option for creating a large amount of coverage area in a short amount of time. You can pick from varying levels of thickness, which gives you different options for cushioning, but which also adds to the weight of an individual roll.
Roll out rubber matting, especially products made for a heavy duty environment, can be expensive to ship. That’s why Greatmats offers warehouses across the United States. We are able to deliver fast shipping options for customers near the Midwest by shipping from a warehouse that specifically serves this area. The states we serve with our Midwest warehouse include:
When you’re looking for rubber flooring rolls in the Midwest, here are some of the primary features to consider.
Thickness. We offer multiple levels of thickness in rubber flooring rolls. Our products range in size from 2 mm (about 0.08 inches) to 1/2 inch in thickness.
Thinner products work best as flooring underlayment products, such as when you want to create a bit of cushioning underneath a hardwood or vinyl floor. These rolls typically measure between 2 mm and 6 mm in thickness.
Mid-range products range in thickness between 1/4 inch and 8 mm (about 0.31 inches). These work as general flooring options in gyms or in an industrial setting, providing a nice level of durability and cushioning.
The thickest rolls of rubber have thickness measurements between 3/8 inch and 1/2 inch. These are great for gyms where you need the maximum level of cushioning, subfloor protection, and durability.
As a general rule, thicker rolls will carry a higher cost per square foot than thinner rolls. The thinnest rubber underlayment rolls will cost around $1 to $2 per square foot. All-black rolls 1/4 inches or thicker may cost $2 to $3 per square foot. Rolls with color flecks may cost $3 to $5 per square foot.
The thicker rolls also have a greater weight, meaning you may need special equipment to lay out thick rolls of rubber floor versus thin rolls.
Regrind. Regrind rubber rolls are available at a discount to the other styles, while still often carrying at least a 5-year warranty. Regrind rubber is available in either a natural or a confetti color option. However, with regrind rubber, the concentration of the color is not guaranteed.
When you select natural, the recycled tires included could have whitewalls, creating white flecks in the black that will not be consistent throughout the roll.
The confetti option has various colors of rubber mixed in with the recycled tires. This means you will receive some random colors and consistency of colors throughout the black roll of flooring.
Color flecks. With some rubber flooring rolls, you can choose to have color flecks added to the black rubber. This differs from regrind rubber, because these color fleck rolls have a consistent color selection and a particular concentration, ranging from 10 percent to 90 percent, but you will have to custom order the higher concentrations.
You also have the option of ordering flooring rolls that are 100 percent black with no color flecks.
Coverage size. The majority of our rolls will feature a 4-foot width, and you can select varying lengths of rolls. For our customers, 10 feet, 25 feet, and 50 feet rolls are the most common lengths. You can select other roll lengths as a custom order too.
Some sizes are constructed for specific use cases. Rolls made for plyometric workouts in a gym often measure 4 by 10 feet with 8 mm of thickness, for example.
Specialty. If you have a special project in mind, we offer quite a few specialty rubber flooring rolls.
Some of our specialty mats include properties that provide additional cushioning or extra noise absorption. These may be ideal in a workout setting where you’ll be using free weights.
Rubber flooring rolls buying guide. A common use case for rubber flooring rolls is to cover a commercial gymnasium. The price per square foot is reasonable for a gym owner and using rolled rubber completes the job in a hurry. For areas where you need extra cushioning, such as underneath heavy exercise equipment, adding thick mats atop the rolls is a good idea.
You can keep shipping costs reasonable with rubber flooring rolls when you choose Greatmats, thanks to our nearby warehouses. We primarily source our rolls from the United States, so you can count on the quality. No order is too large or too challenging for Greatmats. No matter what thickness or style you want, we will be ready to ship in less than a week for the majority of orders and up to two weeks for custom orders.
