Gray and Silver Metallic Flooring

With either a silver or a gray metallic color available in these heavy duty vinyl flooring rolls, customers may believe they’re looking at an aluminum or metal flooring until they walk on the vinyl.

The color is highly realistic, creating a high-tech look that’s not commonly available in vinyl floors. The metallic effect in the vinyl does not affect the durability or longevity of the flooring, though. It creates a look of metal without sacrificing the significant benefits of vinyl floors.

Through the use of these colors, the flooring is able to hide minor scuffs and similar types of soils. This reduces the frequency with which customers will need to clean. The manufacturer uses a transparent wear layer over the top of the layer that contains the color, protecting this metallic layer.

These colors deliver an industrial feel to any type of building, whether it’s a retail facility, a restaurant, or a factory. High-tech companies may want to use this flooring in customer reception areas, creating a sense of sophistication for the business.

Anti Skid Vinyl Floors

To help visitors and employees maintain a sure footing while using these heavy duty vinyl flooring rolls, the manufacturer included a raised tread across the surface of the roll.

This tread consists of a diamond pattern texture that yields a nice level of traction. In a medical facility, restaurant, or locker room, where wet floors could lead to slips, our diamond shaped texture gives shoes extra grip, even when the area is damp.

This type of diamond pattern is similar to what you may see on a stainless steel kick plate for a door or a chrome bumper step on a pickup truck, making it a natural choice as a raised pattern to use on a flooring that mimics metal.

Recycled Material in Vinyl Floors

Each roll of flooring contains between 20% and 40% of post-industrial recycled content. This is helpful for keeping some used vinyl materials out of the landfill.

In areas where business owners have concerns about volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and indoor air quality (IAQ) related to the flooring choice, this roll will provide high levels of performance and safety.

The vinyl meets the GreenAir certification, meaning it hits the standards for low VOCs in its formulation. It also meets the IAQ standards for FloorScore certification and California specification 01350.

In areas that need microbial resistance, this model of flooring meets the standard required for GreenMedic certification. This vinyl also meets LEED standards in a variety of categories, including the flooring system, the recommended adhesive, and the recycled content in use.

Maintenance and Care

These commercial grade heavy duty vinyl flooring rolls provide a significant advantage for those who need durable, long-lasting floors for tough working conditions.

As long as customers follow the manufacturer recommendations for cleaning and maintaining the flooring, they should receive a long lifespan, likely even surpassing the 10-year manufacturer warranty period for this Lonseal flooring.

At the time of installation, customers must add a finish to the floor, as the manufacturer ships the roll as unfinished. If choosing a urethane finish, customers often only need one coat. For an acrylic finish, it will take two or more coats to complete the job.

Only use a brand of finish that the manufacturer recommends. Failure to use an approved finish could shorten the lifespan of the floor or could cause the floor to show premature wear.

After applying the finish, customers can perform their regular maintenance processes. Start by sweeping or vacuuming the floor to remove dry debris and dust. Should you encounter gum or other sticky substances, you can carefully use a putty knife to scrape these substances.

For stubborn stains, you may choose a mop and an auto-scrubbing machine. Use a mix of a neutral pH cleaner and warm water as the cleaning solution. Allow the vinyl to air dry after washing it.

Due to its heavy embossing, proper heat welding of this product is not possible. Welding thread is not available for this product.
