Protect Athletes With Quality Wall Pads
The Safety Wall Pads are indoor wood-backed wall mats designed for direct wall attachment for permanent installations. They are made with 2-inch impact-rated polyethylene foam covered with Class A PVC Vinyl. This combination of foam and wood is wrapped on the front and sides and securely stapled onto the back.
This is a great choice for school gymnasiums, recreation centers, and martial arts studios to protect children and their athletes and walls from impact. It's also popular in calm rooms, therapy rooms, or sensory rooms to create a safer environment for those with special needs.
Choose Wall Pads Designed for Safety
This wall padding features quality components to ensure optimal performance.
- The backing consists of a 7/13-inch Georgia Pacific Blue Ribbon® oriented strand board. It’s third-party certified to the Sustainable Forestry Initiative® procurement standard and free of added urea formaldehyde resins.
- The foam layer is a two-inch polyethylene foam that meets ASTM 2440 protective standards. It contains at least 60% recycled pre-consumer raw material.
- The cover is an 18.5-ounce coated smooth matte vinyl.
This gym wall padding can contribute to LEED points. It’s also anti-mildew, anti-fungus, antimicrobial, anti-bacterial treated, and UV treated.
Enjoy a Permanent Installation
These wall pads include a 1-inch attachment lip along the top and bottom where the pad can be screwed into the wall. This is the ideal choice for most permanent matting installations.

At Haven Jiu Jitsu we used Greatmats.com to get all of our wall pads here. We have over 2000 square feet of matted space on this main side. We ended up also their 1 1/4 foam and putting it underneath this beautiful gray topper that you see here. These mats and wall pads have been up for almost 10 months and they are extremely durable.

We bought a personalized wall mat and had custom mats made to fit our window sills. We wanted to maximize our space and these options allowed us to do that. Customer service was friendly and responsive.

We ordered wall pads for our gymnasium. They were of great quality and we got exactly what we ordered. There were a few that were damaged during delivery and they replaced everyone of them no questions asked. Katie was wonderful to work with and very professional. We will for sure use this company again.

Q: Hi! My special needs son’s bed is by the wall and we need to put padding on the wall because he keeps hitting it. The 2 x 6 wall pad looks like what we would need. We would hang vertically. The back is wood correct? We would just nail to the wall with anchors? Thanks for responding! Terri
