Size and Shape Options

Each tile has a squarish shape, measuring about 20 by 20 inches. Understand, however, that because of the visible interlocking edge, installers may not receive the full coverage area they are expecting. Each tile has a coverage of 2.75 square feet.

At 6.5 mm in thickness (or almost 1/4 inch), this PVC tile will be able to provide support for heavy trucks and other types of vehicles, including small aircraft. (You will need to apply a sealant to this industrial flooring to make it usable around automobiles.)

Installation with these tiles is extremely easy, as a single tile weighs only 5 pounds. If necessary, one person can handle the installation process, although it will go faster with multiple people available.

Material Options

PVC, short for polyvinyl chloride, offers a nice mixture of durability and flexibility. It has many of the benefits of rubber in terms of its longevity, as these PVC industrial flooring tiles carry a 20-year manufacturer warranty.
However, PVC tiles weigh far less than rubber tiles, which simplifies the installation process.

PVC works well as industrial flooring around vehicles in a garage because it remains resistant to oils and chemicals throughout its lifetime.

When used in a commercial or residential garage, it also provides resistance to rainwater or melting snow dripping off cars. It does not soak up this moisture, allowing it to also resist the formation of mold and mildew.

As a final benefit, this type of tile flooring resists any marks or gouges from impacts or scraping. It will continue to look like new for many years, while also remaining easy to clean.

Pattern and Texture Options

When using these industrial flooring tiles in an area where customers may see them, you will appreciate the high-quality textured pattern molded into the surface of the tile. The texture almost resembles the surface of leather or slate, creating a luxury feel at a reasonable cost per square foot.

Because the manufacturer molds the textured pattern into the PVC, rather than applying it via paint, it will not wear away in tough conditions.

Customers can select among three colors in this SupraTile family – black, dark gray, and light gray. These neutral colors are popular in an area where industrial flooring is in use, as these colors hide soils well. All of the colors of this 1/4-inch thick PVC tile use the same interlocking pattern, so installers can mix and match different colors as desired.

Common Use Options

These versatile tiles appear in many different types of commercial and residential locations.

Contractors may install this flooring in a warehouse or in a repair garage where vehicles will drive across it. A city roads department or bus depot may use this flooring in its storage warehouse. Assembly line areas in a factory and high-traffic areas in office buildings also can take advantage of this versatile flooring.

For residential users, these tiles fit nicely in garages or basements over the top of a concrete subfloor. They provide slip resistance and cushioning in these areas. Because of the interlocking edges, homeowners can save money by doing the installation themselves.

Even though PVC has many of the same properties as an applied epoxy coating, these PVC tiles are far thicker than epoxy, delivering a greater level of cushioning for those who must stand on this floor to work.

Installation Options

To install these tiles, simply line up the slots and tabs on adjacent tiles and press them together. The T-shaped tabs and slots deliver an especially tight fit for these tiles, holding them together, even under areas of significant stress. You do not need to apply glue to the edges to hold the tiles together.

Customers can glue the tiles to the subfloor, if desired, to create a permanent layout. Many customers choose to dry lay the tiles, though, so they can disassemble and pick up the tiles later to return to the subfloor.

Cleaning and Maintenance Requirements

Cleaning our PVC factory flooring is an easy process. Just sweep the tiles using a broom or run a vacuum cleaner over the top to remove dust and dry debris. Removing dirt regularly will reduce staining and limit the need to thoroughly clean the flooring as often.

When it’s time to use a cleaning solution on the flooring, almost any common household floor cleaner will do the job. Customers can use a mop or an automated floor-cleaning machine to apply the solution. Then allow it to dry naturally in the air.
