We have a large line of outdoor mats for rooftops, decks, patios, and playground areas, and also offer many options for both home and commercial gym and athletic installations. Thanks to our excellent inventory, we have mats that will suit virtually any flooring project.

Benefits of Rubber Mats

Rubber tends to be a preferred flooring for many installations, and when you consider the benefits, it's easy to see why.
- Rubber mats are made from some of the most durable and renewable materials available today.
- Rubber flooring is eco-friendly; most of our mats are made from recycled car and truck tires, which helps to keep millions of pounds of waste out of landfills.
- Rubber is highly resistant to nearly all forms of weather and natural elements, making it a durable outdoor flooring option.
- Rubber is also strong; these mats can support significant weight without sustaining damage.
- Rubber offers excellent shock absorption, so whether you're absorbing the impact of dropped gym weights or are looking for a comfortable mat to cushion your feet during long hours of work, rubber is a practical option.
- Rubber is an economical choice; with mats in a variety of price points, we have something that will work for every budget.

We've outlined a few of our different mats for various uses below to help you get started.

Largest Rubber Mat Options

If you're looking for mats that will quickly cover large areas, then our large rubber mats are your best option. Large rubber mats leave fewer seams when installed in large commercial or residential areas. Alternatively, smaller mats work best in tight spaces, since less of the product will be cut and wasted in wall-to-wall installations. Large rubber mats tend to be a more economical option for commercial projects, but keep in mind that they are also heavier, so you may need multiple people to install them.

Our largest rubber mat option is rolled rubber, which is four feet wide and comes in rolls of up to 50 feet in length. Most of our non-rolled large rubber mats carry dimensions of around 4x6 feet. Any large rubber mat comes with straight edges; smaller mats are often available with interlocking edges.

Thickest Rubber Mat Options

The thicker a mat is, the more shock absorption and subfloor protection it can provide. Our thick rubber mats are generally sought after for use in gyms, particularly in weightlifting areas where significant weight may be dropped on the floor. Thick rubber mats are also preferred for use underneath playground equipment. For such installations, 2 inch thick rubber mats or greater are recommended.

Our thickest rubber mat is our Blue Sky Slide Mats, which are 2.25 inches thick and 2x4 feet in size. This thick mat provides excellent cushion and prevents wear in areas at the bases of slides. Our playground mats are also thicker, measuring 3x3 feet in size with a 1.5-inch thickness. They are designed to be used at the bottom of slides or underneath see saws as well as under other playground equipment such as swings. Greatmats also offers various other thick rubber mats just under the 1-inch mark.

Rubber Industrial and Fatigue Mats

Industrial large rubber mats provide comfort and fatigue relief for workers who need to stand on hard surfaces for long periods of time. While the rubber material will be much firmer than foam or plastic anti-fatigue options, these mats provide significant benefit over hard concrete.

Many of our industrial mats are made specifically to withstand harsh factory environments. Some mats are perforated so that water runs through the mat, rather than collecting on the surface. This design helps to keep workers' feet dry in areas where water, oil, or other liquids are prevalent. Some of these mats are equipped with grease and slip resistance, creating a safer, more durable flooring option. Other options include mats designed to withstand welding sparks, and mats that are designed specifically for workers who handle valuable electrical equipment that is sensitive to static discharge.

We also stock mats made for spaces where forklifts and other heavy machinery will be used. Some mats feature bright yellow edging for additional safety, while others feature beveled edges so that you can easily roll carts onto and off of the mats. Some of our anti-fatigue rubber/foam blended runners are as long as 60 feet.

These mats are an excellent choice for employees who frequently stand on hard surfaces, and who would benefit from an anti-fatigue surface. Non-slip and anti-fatigue rubber matting is commonly used in standing work environments within industrial and manufacturing facilities.

Explore our extensive collection of anti-fatigue mats to choose the best fit for your facility. Our rubber runners are available in custom sizes to suit your needs. Our mats provide an economical yet valuable safety measure that can make any factory a more pleasant place for workers.

Rubber Athletic Mats

Many of our athletic mats are available in 4x6 foot sizes with straight edges, and are 1/4 to 1 inch thick. These mats are frequently used in gym areas that see high traffic and high impacts, such as weight rooms. Our mats can add protection to your subfloor; you may wish to install them in areas where free weights may be dropped. Because rubber is so strong and durable, these mats can often be used underneath heavy gym equipment that other flooring, such as foam, cannot support.

Our mats are also available in plyometric rubber. Plyometric rubber still provides your subfloor with protection, but it has a less dense composition than traditional black rubber. Our plyometric mats offer more cushioning and a more comfortable gym flooring surface.

Rubber Rooftop Mats

Mats for rooftops are available in both straight edge and in interlocking modular tiles. The mats are designed to be placed over rubber membranes on commercial roofs and outdoor patios, and do not require a glue-down installation. Many of these mats can be connected via pink or fork-style connector clips, making for a simplified installation that's a suitable DIY project. In addition to an easy cut-to-fit installation, rubber tiles intended for outdoor use can also provide a convenient fall height rating.

These rooftop mats are extremely resilient even under the harshest weather conditions. The mats are heavy enough to prevent being lifted up even in strong winds, and are durable enough to avoid cracking or splitting in extreme cold. Additionally, the mats provide a non-slip surface in all weather.

Rubber Playground Mats

Large mats for playgrounds are usually glued down for a more permanent and secure installation in outdoor areas. Greatmats has a line of fall-height-rated mats for playground areas which help to maximize child safety. Our mats come with fall height ratings ranging from 6 to 10 feet, making them suitable for use with a variety of playgrounds and playground equipment.

Some of our rubber pavers also features a fall height rating of 2 feet, which makes them a great option for spaces created with smaller children in mind.

Rubber Entrance Mats

Rubber mats for indoor and outdoor entrance spaces are available in numerous designs and colors. Highly durable and designed to provide excellent traction even when wet, these mats are an excellent way to increase safety while helping to keep sand, dirt, and debris outside.
