Q: Hi I have this product. The mats are about 10 years old and have been outside exposed to sun. The red color has now turned to black and is very course. I am looking at moving them inside to cover my garage floor for a home gym. Is it normal for these to blacken? Is there any way to restore the surface so it is a bit softer?
A: Tiles of this kind will fade out over time, the tiles can be recolored with colorant, which should also smoothen the surface.
