Choose Wall Pads Designed for Acoustics and Safety

This sound absorbing wall pad features quality components to ensure optimal performance to reduce sound and offer safety for athletes.

• The backing consists of a 7/16-inch Georgia Pacific Blue Ribbon® oriented strand board. It’s third-party certified to the Sustainable Forestry Initiative® procurement standard and free of added urea formaldehyde resins.
• The foam layer is a two-inch polyurethane foam that meets ASTM 2440 protective standards. This foam is dimensionally stable.
• The cover is a high-performance woven polyester VCM acoustically transparent cover, designed to allow sound energy to pass through the cover and be absorbed by the foam core.
• The woven polyester cover is GREENGUARD Gold Certified. It’s also fire retardant and mildew resistant.
• ASTM 2440 Impact Rating of 108 GMax and 211 HIC
• This product has been tested in accordance with CDPH
• 01350 v1.2 VOC emissions evaluation requirements and qualifies for the LEEDv4.1 EQ credit: Low-emitting materials.
• Wall pads are tested in accordance with ASTM C423: Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC): 1.05 and Sound Absorption Average (SAA): 1.06

Sound Absorption Properties

The Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC) is the standard metric for measuring how much sound a surface absorbs. These pads feature an NRC of 1.05 meaning that the pads will absorb over 100% of the sound energy that hits them across the speech frequency spectrum. The extra 5% comes from the edge capturing sound.

Basic wall pads will bounce sound off the vinyl surface material, creating echoes. Adding these gym wall panels will reduce echo time (RT60), improving speech clarity. The wall panels will prevent noise build-up.

CourtQuiet Wall Pads are an excellent choice for gyms, fitness rooms, and other spaces where significant sound reduction is needed. For projects that do not require full acoustic coverage, CourtQuiet Wall Pads can be paired with Safety Wall Pads to help reduce noise while providing impact protection in key areas.

Z-Clip Style Installation Method

The wall pads include aluminum Z-Clips for easy and versatile installation. The Z-Clip mounts to the wall at the top and bottom, as aligned with panel size and mounting height. The opposing Z-Clip is mounted to the backside of the wall pad. (Z-clips on the wall pads are included. Z-clips for the wall are not included in the price shown.)

Once the clips are securely fastened, you can nest the clip mounted to the pad into the clip that’s mounted to the wall. Use a rubber mallet to tap the wall pad securely down into the Clip. The mats can be removed and reinstalled as needed.

(Other types of installation methods are available including a nailing margin designed for permanent installation.)

Wipe clean with a neutral pH cleaner. Clean with hot water using a sponge. Do not soak in water.
