Size and Shape Options

Each of these heavy-duty PVC flooring tiles has a coverage space of 19.75 by 19.75 inches. The interlocking edge hides underneath the final layout, so installers do not have to calculate any potential loss of coverage area to the puzzle-style edge.

Upon final installation, only the flat edges that resemble a square tile will be visible.

Each tile will cover approximately 2.7 square feet. To determine the number of tiles to order, measure the space for the installation and calculate the desired square footage. Then divide that number by 2.7 to figure out how many tiles to use.

Each carton of our heavy-duty PVC flooring contains 10 tiles. We recommend adding 5% to the final order number to account for any need to cut tiles to fit flush against a wall.

An individual tile measures 7 mm in thickness, or about 0.275 inches, and weighs 5.1 pounds.

Material Options

PVC plastic is a highly desirable type of flooring for a wide range of usage situations. PVC is slightly flexible, which simplifies the installation process.

It will stand up to heavy foot traffic and even vehicular traffic without suffering damage or without buckling. This heavy-duty PVC flooring will withstand up to 20,000 pounds of weight, as long as the subfloor is sturdy and flat.

It is extremely durable, as each of these tiles will have a 20-year limited warranty from the manufacturer.

The manufacturer molded the leather textured pattern into the top layer of the PVC, meaning it will not wear away when placed under stress or when subject to frequent usage.

Pattern and Texture Options

This is a solid-colored style of floor tile, so it does not contain artistic patterns. Customers can select among three neutral color options with this SupraTile product, including:

• Dark gray
  
• Light gray

Each color of tile makes use of the same hidden interlocking connection system, so installers can choose to mix and match colors. (Greatmats also offers another model of SupraTile interlocking tiles that has brighter colors available and that uses the same interlocking system.)

The primary design feature of this heavy-duty PVC flooring involves the faux leather texture molded into the top layer of each tile. The pattern makes use of subtle, random creases that approximate the look of leather.

Common Use Options

These heavy-duty PVC flooring tiles are especially popular in industrial locations or in a factory. They’re made to withstand heavy weights and difficult conditions, so commercial facilities appreciate the value they receive from them.

Because they can withstand the weight of vehicles, customers often will install them in a retail garage or in a residential garage. They can withstand many oils and chemicals without showing damage, which is another advantage to using them in a garage.

Restaurants and commercial kitchens are also able to use these tiles effectively. They are easy to clean, meaning customers do not have to worry about spills causing a time-consuming cleaning process.

PVC is waterproof, so some people will install the tiles in bathrooms, locker rooms, or laundry facilities.

Installation Options

Installing these tiles can involve a simple DIY process. Line up the tabs on the hidden interlocking system with the slots on adjacent tiles and pop them together to create a secure installation.

Installers do not have to use glue on the interlocking edges or on the underside of the tiles, although they can. By not using glue, installers have the option of removing the tiles at some point in the future.

To create a fully waterproof tile layout, where no liquids will leak between the seams of the tile onto the subfloor, installers have the option of using a color-matched vinyl fill material that they can heat weld into the seams.

Cleaning and Maintenance Requirements

To clean the PVC material, start by sweeping or vacuuming it as needed to remove dry debris. This process can occur on a daily basis for locations with a lot of foot traffic or weekly in areas that don’t experience a lot of tracked-in soils.

To wash the flooring, use a mixture of common household floor cleaner and hot water. Apply the diluted cleaning solution with a mop and allow it to air dry. You can use a gentle floor cleaning machine over the top of the tiles as well.

Maintenance

Clean with damp mop, hot water and common household floor cleaner.
