UltraTile Rubber Weight Floor Standard Colors 1 Inch x 2x2 Ft. with Quad Blok
UltraTile Rubber Weight Floor Standard Colors 1 Inch x 2x2 Ft. with Quad Blok are very durable rubber tiles that are designed for the most demanding athletic and weight room floors. Choose this high end rubber gym mat for home and professional weight rooms and gyms. In addition to standard colors, these shock and noise absorbing weight strength tiles are also available in black, premium colors, and team colors.
For floor spaces that undergo a lot of stress, shock absorbing flooring from Greatmats delivers the best results, including the UltraTile Rubber Weight Floor with Standard Colors.
This is the perfect exercise flooring for areas where free weights are in use. When athletes drop barbells, kettlebells, or other heavy weights, the rubber shock absorbing flooring will reduce the effects of sound and vibration from impact.
Each tile in this collection measures 2x2 feet and measures 1 inch thick. With 4 square feet of coverage per tile, installers will reduce the amount of time required to complete the layout versus using a smaller size of tile.
The square shape with flat edges simplifies the installation, as installers can place them tight against the first wall without having to cut them. This is the perfect exercise flooring for areas where free weights are in use. Size and Shape Options
Each tile in this collection measures 2x2 feet and measures 1 inch thick. With 4 square feet of coverage per tile, installers will reduce the amount of time required to complete the layout versus using a smaller size of tile.
Even with the larger size of the tiles in this shock absorbing flooring, an individual tile only weighs 16 pounds, so one person can move the tile into place and complete the installation relatively easily.
Although tiles with a greater thickness may fit nicely in certain situations, these 1-inch thick tiles work well in a gym setting with free weights, as they will absorb noise from the clang of the weights, while also being thick enough to protect the subfloor.
Material Options
Rubber is an ideal type of material for use as shock absorbing flooring. Rubber has the durability required to stand up to difficult conditions, while also delivering a bit of protection for the athletes working out on top of it, reducing stress on their hip, knee, and ankle joints.
The black base color on these tiles consists of high quality recycled rubber, making it an eco-friendly product without sacrificing durability or longevity. The color flecks embedded in the top layer consist of virgin rubber, creating the desired look for the floors.
All of these tiles are made in the USA, which means our customers can count on the quality of the materials to deliver tiles that will last without allowing the formation of weak spots.
Pattern and Texture Options
The primary stylistic feature of our UltraTile shock absorbing flooring is the various color flecks included in the top layer. This gives the rubber tiles a more interesting look for visitors to the gymnasium.
This flooring uses the same black base color that you’d expect to find with rubber tiles. However, as an eye-catching difference from the typical black rubber tile, this UltraTile model has a few different color fleck mixtures available, including:
- Blue: Blue flecks
- Gray: Gray flecks
- Red: Red flecks
- Creme: Light brown flecks
The top layer of these tiles does not have any grooves or special texture added. Rubber has a natural grippy texture that helps athletes maintain a sure footing during workouts and weightlifting sessions.
Common Use Options
The primary use case for our shock absorbing tiles is in weight rooms at schools, fitness centers, and gymnasiums. These tiles look great, while delivering the high level of performance required to protect the subfloor during weightlifting sessions.
In areas where foot traffic is common in the gym, these tiles will stand up to it without showing wear. This gives the gym owner a flooring that will last longer, while continuing to look like new, delivering an impressive value over time.
Beyond use around weightlifting equipment, installers can deploy these tiles in areas where workout machines are in use, such as treadmills, or in rooms that host spin cycle classes. Such machines can generate quite a bit of unwanted noise, and the rubber will cut down on the sound, preventing echoes.
Machines will not slide around when under the stress of use, either, thanks to the grippy nature of rubber.
UltraTile Rubber Weight Floor Standard Colors 1 Inch x 2x2 Ft. can also interlock with RageTurf UltraTile 1 Inch x 24x24 Inches, to create a dual workout area.
Installation Options
Rather than making use of an interlocking puzzle edge like some other rubber tiles, these tiles use pegs on the underside. To connect adjacent tiles, the installer will place a waffle-like Quad Blok connector over pegs on both tiles and glue it in place.
The Quad Blok holds the tiles together tightly, even when they are supporting significant weight from exercise machines or when athletes are dropping free weights on the top of the tiles.
Additionally, the installer can take advantage of the space between the pegs on the back side of the tile by running cables and wiring underneath without having the floor rest directly on the cables.
Each tile includes one Quad Blok Connector for Tiles 1 inch x 4.5x4.5 inch.
Cleaning and Maintenance Requirements
When cleaning the UltraTile product, start by making use of a broom or a vacuum cleaner to remove the daily accumulation of debris, dust, and other particles before people walking across the floor grind them into the rubber.
To remove stains or to perform a more thorough cleaning of the tiles, mix a neutral pH cleaner with warm water to create a safe cleaning solution for the rubber. Both the color flecks and the black base rubber are safe to expose to the neutral pH cleaner.
After mopping the tile layout, allow the rubber to dry naturally in the air. To speed up the drying, make use of a large fan.
This product is manufactured from 92% recycled rubber material.
Maintenance
Always use a neutral Ph cleaner on rubber flooring material.

Product Questions:
Q: I am looking at a space to open a gym. I believe the floor is plywood over wood joists and the space is over a dentist's office. If I install this product over the subfloor, will it reduce the sound and vibration enough not to disrupt the office below?
A: This product will definitely help some, but we could not guarantee it will solve the problem. Our Sterling Athletic Sound Rated tiles are specifically designed to help reduce sound/vibration and would offer even more protection, but once again there are no guarantees.
