Equine Paver Tile Black 30 mm x 2x2 Ft.

Rubber equine paver tiles are designed for use in aisleways, horse stalls, washbays, inside and outdoors. When you want the very best, choose PaveSafe .

To create the look of a dog bone style paver layout with a simple installation process, Greatmats recommends our PaveSafe 2x2 equine rubber pavers. These black rubber tiles have a square shape, which makes the installation extremely easy.

The manufacturer etches the dog bone pattern directly into the rubber, so installers do not have to attempt to properly create the tricky layout of actual dog bone shaped bricks or tiles.

Size and Shape Options

Each of these square equine rubber pavers measures 2 by 2 feet and has 4 square feet of coverage. This simplifies the calculation of the number of tiles required to cover a particular space.
Each 2x2 tile has flat edges, so there is no need to worry about an interlock edge loss when trying to determine how many tiles that a space needs.

These equine rubber pavers measure 1.25 inches in thickness, and an individual paver weighs 20 pounds. This size of tile is easy for one person to move into the layout for the installation, although the process will go faster with multiple people available.

Material Options

Our equine rubber pavers consist of recycled rubber. The manufacturer uses a re-bonding process that turns the recycled rubber into a clean and safe rubber flooring for humans and animals alike. By reusing old rubber to create these pavers, it keeps rubber out of the landfill and remains friendly to the environment.

This is a high-quality rubber, ensuring the longevity and performance of the flooring. Even when customers expose these tiles to constant use in a horse barn, walkway, wash bay, or even a tunnel at a horse track, they will stand up to the weight of the animal.

Greatmats sources these pavers from an American manufacturer, which allows customers to fully trust the quality of the materials and of the construction methods. These tiles will not have weak areas because of poor manufacturing techniques, and they will follow precise measurement tolerances.

Pattern and Texture Options

The distinguishing characteristic of our equine rubber pavers is the dog bone pattern etched into the rubber. This pattern does not consist of a graphical element or a painted line, so it will not wear away when placed under foot and hoof traffic. The etched pattern will stand up to many years of wear and remain visible.

This paver is available in a black color, which is helpful for hiding soils. We also offer a few other colors of these pavers for customers who prefer a look other than black.

Rubber is a naturally grippy material, so this is an ideal type of flooring to use in areas that may become slippery when wet or muddy.

Common Use Options

The majority of customers for our equine rubber pavers will be horse facilities. Because of the dog bone pattern, these tiles resemble high-end brick pavers that require a professional layout, so many people will choose to install these in customer-facing areas at the equine facility.

Rather than forcing handlers and groomers to walk horses through muddy pathways after rain or dusty pathways during a dry summer, use of these equine pavers creates a safe aisle for walking the animals from barn to barn.

At a racing track, these pavers provide a resemblance to a traditional brick layout, but they provide a much safer space that reduces the chance of a slip when walking the horse from the saddling area to the start of the post parade on track.

When creating a pathway with these pavers from a wash bay to the barn, the horses stay cleaner versus walking on a dirt path.

Use of these pavers at a horse show is a good idea too, creating a safe area to walk horses to and from the show ring.

Installation Options

Installers can choose to dry lay these tiles over dirt or to glue them to a sturdy surface, such as concrete. The individual tiles have straight edges on all four sides, which makes it easy to lay the tiles side by side and to keep the layout tight.

When laying out these tiles, the installer will need to adjust the alignment of adjacent tiles so that the etched dog bone pattern matches up from tile to tile.

Cleaning and Maintenance Requirements

Keeping these rubber dog bone pattern tiles clean is an easy process. To remove dry debris, customers can sweep the tiles with a push broom. It’s also possible to run a vacuum over the top to remove dirt and dust. Use a scoop or shovel to pick up feces.

To wash the surface of the tiles, make use of a power washer or a garden hose with a sprayer attachment. The rubber surface will maintain its traction even when it is wet, so handlers do not have to wait until the tiles dry to begin walking horses across them again.

For cleaning the tiles, the manufacturer recommends using warm water mixed with a neutral pH cleaner. You then can rinse the tiles with a garden hose and sprayer.

Sweep clean and hose off.
