Made of waterproof vinyl, this is a versatile roll out floor mat covering resists mold and mildew, two main reasons flooring deteriorates. Mold can sprout and spread on almost any surface when moisture is left between two layers. Remove the mat and allow the mat and floor to dry before putting it back in place. The mat itself will not promote mold growth. Before installing any floor covering, moisture coming from below or through the concrete subfloor should be addressed. It is recommended that the matting rolls be installed on a smooth, clean and dry substrate.

However, if moisture exists in the concrete subfloor or underneath installed flooring, it will not be able to evaporate when trapped under the flooring. Moisture can migrate under the flooring from around the edges when not fully glued down.

This ribbed texture vinyl flooring roll does not control moisture or debris from getting around the edges or underneath the flooring. Installation options would be to have the concrete floor sealed or remove the mat covering routinely so the area underneath and the mat itself can dry, particularly in areas with high humidity.

Our roll-out vinyl ribbed texture mat features unique ridges composed of shallow valleys and slightly raised ridges. The ribbed pattern adds a touch of uniqueness to your space. The base thickness is 55 mil overall thickness, the ribbed channel is .125 inch wide, .065 inch tall and spaced apart .375 inch.
