Ballet Floor for Dance Studio Owners
Not just any dance or marley flooring will give you the results you need when dancers are participating in ballet. Our ballet floor for shows and practice is one of the best options available.
It provides the slip coefficient needed for soft shoes for dancers, including ballet shoes. This material is an ideal ballerina floor, as it carries a medium-fast floor speed.
Whether you want ballet floors that give dancers a place to hold daily practice sessions or that provide a stage covering for performances and competitions, our ballet roll kit is a popular choice.
Custom Cut Ballet Flooring
At its full length, our ballet floor roll measures 131.3 feet. But you can order a custom cut length if you need less material and if you want it to be easier to move the roll from place to place.
Should you want to cut the roll yourself after it arrives, you can use a straightedge and a utility knife to create a clean edge that will look great.
Ballet Floor for Performances Off-Site
When the ballet troupe will be giving performances at various locations, our roll of vinyl works extremely well.
At 5.25 feet in width, just roll up the flooring and take it with you to your performances. Use the tape-down installation method to secure it to the subfloor, so you can easily remove the tape later.
With its reversible design, you can change the color of the material to match the mood of the performance. You may want to use the black side of the marley roll for some shows and the gray side for other shows.
Stage and Theater Flooring
When putting on a play or a musical in an auditorium at school for balley, our marley roll easily handles this use case, too.
For a stage layout, some customers choose to install it when needed and to roll it up after using it. Because it is a portable roll, you can store it between performances.

To store marley flooring, roll up tightly on a cardboard roll and store upright.

I bought this mat for my high schoolers to be able to continue their ballet at home (primarily barre work) as much as possible during the COVID-19 pandemic. I did not install it permanently, but rather they roll it up for storage after each use (well, most of the time!). The shipping was timely and the package was well protected and secured. I was impressed with the overall quality and (so far) durability of the material. The mat came rolled up on a sturdy cardboard roll with nice padding on it to protect the material when it is stored, and makes it easy to roll up. It seems to function well and stays put on both hardwood and tile. They have used it for practicing en pointe, in ''slippers'' and barefoot modern work as well. The only negative thing I have to say is that a couple of rubber bands or velcro straps would have been nice to include to secure the mat when it is rolled up and stored in a corner of the room. Without something to secure the free edge, the mat sags on the roll when stood up in a corner, and this tends to kind of deform the edges a bit. So far it's not a big problem as it flattens out fine when laid down each time, but long term this could lead to damage.It came with a couple of pieces of tape securing it in the rolled up position but these aren't effective for very long as the adhesive gets dirty and wears off.

Your flooring has been a huge lifesaver for my daughter :) we were worried about her taking all these online classes and how dancing on non-proper flooring wasn't safe and difficult for her -- having her new flooring has been amazing.

I ordered a 10-ft roll of reversible Marley floor. It was delivered within the time frame provided. I unrolled it straight on our hardwood floor and taped it with the tape I bought with it. Its smooth and without blemishes; my daughter is happy she has a ballet floor to practice her turns at home. Her only complaint is that its "too new".
