Both large and small holes help with drainage, channels funnel liquid and debris away from the standing area. Beveled edges on all sides reduces trip hazards. SaniTop Anti-Fatigue Mat in black offers a simple, inexpensive answer for wet environments such as industrial or commercial kitchen areas.
