Realistic Look

With the 1-5/8 inch yarn height of the polyethylene fibers that make up the synthetic lawn, you'll receive a product that closely resembles natural grass. Our fake grass for backyard materials includes a thatch pattern, which provides added body. This also reduces the amount of infill required.

ChargeGuard Feature

La Jolla Classic Turf features ChargeGuard, which reduces static discharge. ChargeGuard is built into the blades of synthetic grass, giving them resistance to static electricity buildup, which is important in playgrounds where equipment could have a static buildup.

The primary backing is a polypropylene plastic that provides the anchor for the individual yarns of the AstroTurf yard, holding them in place tightly.

We recommend that you use silica sand as the infill base material for our AstroTurf yard when installed outside.

Maintenance is easy for the outdoor turf, as you can just rinse it with water. Rainwater will often take care of the cleaning process for you automatically with an outdoor installation. To fluff up matted fibers, you can use a broom or rake.

Installation

The La Jolla Classic Artificial Turf Roll can be installed outdoors on concrete surfaces or a compacted aggregate base. This ensures you can enjoy its benefits in various settings and create the perfect landscape or recreational area.

Outdoor artificial turf requires a base layer of a 4-inch layer of compacted crushed stone or a similar compacted surface. The artificial turf will need to be offloaded from the shipping truck by hand, which requires two or more people. Artificial turf can be cut to fit if needed. Seam tape may be necessary if you are putting two or more pieces together. Turf will need to be secured along the edges with nails or staples. Maintenance

Shipping

Ships via freight delivery only. Please note that customers must be able to hand unload the turf rolls off the truck. Turf rolls are heavy and will require multiple people to unload and move.
