Underlayment for Playground Artificial Turf

Use this safety playground Foam Pad 2-1/4 Inch x 39-1/16 x 90-9/16 Inches under artificial grass turf to create safer playgrounds and recreational areas. This foam pad provides a critical fall height rating, providing adequate protection for most playground equipment.
The foam pad is manufactured with 100 percent post-industrial cross-linked closed-cell polyethylene foam. It is free of rubber, lead, and heavy metals.
The top geotextile layer acts as a weed barrier while also allowing the turf backing to slide more smoothly across the surface, preventing snags during the installation of the turf.
The playground foam pad allows for rapid drainage vertically and laterally allowing playgrounds to stay drier and safer. While the material is porous to allow for drainage, it will not absorb water.
The foam padding is non-microbial, mold and fungus-resistant. This foam pad will not decay or deform even after years of use. The foam padding is highly elastic and retains shock-absorbing properties for many years.
Features straight edges, making it easy to trim around poles or other playground features. The straight edge design also helps to prevent the foam pad from buckling when expanding and contracting in outdoor conditions.
Fall Height Rating
When paired with Play Time Artificial Turf and 1.5 pounds of sand infill per square foot, this product provides a 9-foot ASTM critical fall height rating. When paired with the Play Time Turf without infill, this product provides a 9-foot fall height rating.
To reach a 13-foot critical fall height rating, 2 layers of the foam pads can be stacked together, then use Play Time Turf with 1.5 pounds of sand infill per square foot.
Please note this product is intended as an underlayment and should not be used as a finished surface.
