Installation Tips for Faux Wood Vinyl Planks

Maintenance and Care

Our luxury laminate flooring is extremely easy to care for, regardless of whether the installation occurs in a home or commercial location.

For simple cleaning needed every few days, customers can sweep the floor with a broom or can use a dust mop. This will remove dirt and grit.

For more thorough cleaning requirements, a damp mop will work well. Do not use excessive amounts of water when washing these vinyl floors, as this could cause staining.

After damp mopping the planks, understand that the surface will be slippery. Commercial locations will want to display warning signs after mopping.

Do not add wax, polish, or abrasive cleaning products to the water when damp mopping. If desired, add a mild detergent to the water to help with stubborn soils.

Maintenance

Sweep regularly to remove surface grit and dust. Never use excessive amounts of water when cleaning the planks – use a damp cloth or mop and rinse with clean water. When necessary a mild detergent can be added to the water. Never use wax, polish, abrasive cleaners or scouring agents, as they may dull or distort the finish. CAUTION: Planks are slippery when wet.
