Durable Diamond Plate SpongeCote Mat

The top surface of the mat consists of PVC, which delivers impressive strength. It is able to withstand chemical spills without showing unwanted wear and tear. It will resist absorbing water or other liquids, either from spills or from cleaning processes.

This is a highly durable material, featuring a limited lifetime manufacturer’s warranty. This is an NFSI (National Floor Safety Institute) certified mat, ensuring the safety of those who are using it.

Our Wearwell mat will work in many industrial settings, as it offers a high level of resistance to spills of boric acid, chlorine solutions, mineral oil cutting fluid, ethylene glycol, vegetable oil, salt water, and isopropyl alcohol.

If deploying our mats inside a garage or repair shop, they also provide strong resistance to items like brake fluid, diesel oil, hydraulic oil, petroleum, and transmission fluid.

Beyond the chemical and substance resistance this mat offers, the PVC top layer also has a significant level of abrasion resistance. Normal usage will not cause gouges or scratches to appear on the surface of the mat that could affect its level of performance regarding its chemical and liquid resistance.

Wearwell Safety Mat to Reduce Slip and Fall Accidents

In areas where liquid spills may occur, our diamond plate SpongeCote flooring will help employees maintain their traction while standing to work.

The rubbery material helps employees resist slipping, as does the diamond plate texture raised pattern across the top of the mat’s surface. The alignment of the diamond shapes alternates, which helps to enhance the level of traction.

Additionally, the manufacturer created a beveled edge around the perimeter of the 3-by-5-foot mat. This reduces the lip of the 9/16-inch mat, meaning those walking across the mat will have less of a chance of tripping on the edge.

To further reduce the possibility of someone tripping or stumbling when walking onto or off of these mats, the manufacturer included a bright yellow border strip that provides an easy-to-see contrast against the main black color of the mat.

The yellow serves as a warning about the presence of the mat. When someone is carrying items or is walking near the mat in a dark area of the room, the yellow strip should provide an adequate safety warning about the mat.
