Additionally, it creates a safer entry space. The carpet-like polyethylene fibers provide plenty of traction for people walking across the 3x4 Waterhog mat. The back of the mat consists of grippy rubber that will prevent the matting from sliding around on the subfloor.

The fibers contain UV resistance, so customers can deploy this mat indoors or outdoors. The material is fade resistant too.

Use this mat in a dry or wet location. When the mat becomes wet, its bi-level design will dry faster than a single-level mat. This prevents the mat from rotting and from forming odors.

The back side of the mat contains SBR rubber, which allows it to grip the subfloor tightly without sliding when people are walking across it. This enhances the safety of the entryway of the building.

Additionally, the edges of the mat have a beveled design, which reduces the possibility of a trip and stumble hazard over the edge of the mat. The NFSI (National Floor Safety Institute) certifies this mat as high traction flooring.

The rubber backing contains 20% post-consumer recycled rubber from car tires, while the carpet-like fibers consist of 97% recycled content reclaimed from plastic, making this mat an eco-friendly product by keeping those materials out of the landfill.

Some floor mats that have extremely durable designs require special maintenance and cleaning processes. However, our mats do not need any special equipment or techniques to keep them clean and to allow them to last as long as possible.

For a busy foot traffic area, the manufacturer recommends cleaning this mat by using a vacuum cleaner on a daily basis. In areas with less foot traffic, customers can vacuum the mat once or twice a week.

To remove soils stuck to the fibers of the mat, customers can deploy a hose to rinse the surface of the mat. Another option for a wet cleaning is to run a carpet extracting machine over the top for a more thorough cleaning.

After washing the mat, hang it on a rack to allow it to air dry fully before replacing it on the subfloor.
