Kassi Serafini lets her students know every day that they are important and makes sure to create a safe place to learn without judgement. At the young age of 27, she was recently named the Maryland Dance Education Association's K-12 Dance Educator of the Year.
She's even gone so far has to help other teacher incorporate movement into their classes. The kids respond to her infectious spirit and now share in her excitement for dance and life, knowing that there is always someone out there who cares about them.
