When choosing agility flooring for your facility, you'll have three main options: foam agility tiles, rubber flooring, and artificial turf. We've highlighted the benefits of each option below to help you get started.
Foam Dog Agility Flooring
Foam tiles and mats are light and easily portable. They provide excellent cushion, making for a comfortable floor which you can stand and run on all day long. Foam flooring offers excellent shock absorption in the case of a slip or fall, and makes for a surface which is quite forgiving on the joints of both the dog and the handler.
Interlocking foam tiles are very easy to install - simply align the tiles and connect them together. The tiles fit together tightly, so they won't pull apart while in use. Foam tiles can be cut with a sharp utility knife for wall-to-wall installation, and installation is simple enough that it may be completed by a single person. Economical and practical, foam tiles are excellent choices for dog agility facilities.
Dog Agility Mats Interlocking Tiles are designed to provide superior traction and comfort to both dogs and handlers. These durable interlocking dog agility mats feature a felt surface texture which provides excellent grip for dogs' paws, allowing for plenty of speed and tight turns. The mats are reversible and double sided for double the use, and can be used underneath any type of dog training equipment. You will appreciate the fact that these mats are waterproof and won't absorb moisture, and they're also lead and latex free so you can provide a safe flooring for both dogs and humans.
Foam Mats Economy 1/2 Inch are an affordable choice made of closed cell EVA foam. The mats are waterproof and won't absorb moisture. They're also resistant to staining and are low-odor, making them a great choice for agility facilities. You can place the mats directly on concrete or any hard surface, and these durable tiles will last for years.
Foam Mats 5/8 Inch Premium feature a thatched design that is resistant to scuffing and which provides extra grip and traction. These mats are made of soft EVA foam material for plenty of cushion, and they are also waterproof and stain resistant. Choose from 15 brilliant colors to outfit your facility with an eye-catching yet functional flooring.
Rubber Dog Agility Mats and Flooring
Rubber flooring is another popular option for dog training floor mats because of its excellent durability and strength. Rubber is a tougher flooring material than foam, so it won't show the wear that foam tiles may sustain from dog toenail punctures and scrapes. Rubber provides less cushion than foam, but still offers shock absorption to make for a comfortable and safe floor.
Rubber agility mats are available in both interlocking tiles and in rubber rolls. Rubber tiles are easy to install, with interlocking designs and smaller sizes that are easy to manage and install. Rubber rolls, on the other hand, tend to be heavier and installation requires multiple people. However, rubber rolls cover larger areas with fewer seams than rubber tiles create. If you are flooring a large area, rubber rolls may be more affordable than rubber tiles.
Geneva Rubber Tiles utilize a premium interlocking design, are durable, and can be easily installed without any need for adhesive. These tiles are available in 100 percent black, and have a low rubber odor, making them suitable for use in indoor facilities. Manufactured from Amorim recycled block rubber, the Geneva rubber tiles remain flat and will not curl.
These rubber flooring tiles come with a 5 year limited manufacturer warranty and qualify for Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) points for new construction and major renovations. Partially non-absorbent, Geneva rubber tiles can be cleaned using a damp mop with hot water and a neutral pH cleaner, so cleaning and maintenance is easy and simple.
Gym 3/4 Inch Rubber Interlocking Tiles are made of tough, heavy duty rubber that provides superior durability. The precision waterjet cut interlocking tabs create a floor that is virtually seamless, and borders and corners are available with or without beveled edges so you can design your floor as you see fit.
These tiles install easily, with no adhesive required, and can even be cut for wall to wall installation. This product is also made of 100% recycled rubber, making it a green option for your agility flooring.
Rolled Rubber 1/2 Inch Black Pacific is an economical choice suitable for covering large areas. This flooring is mold and mildew resistant, and its unique design creates a seamless floor surface. The rubber flooring is highly durable, and provides excellent traction, even when it's wet.
Artificial Turf Flooring
Artificial turf also makes for an excellent agility mat. Artificial turf is eye-catching and creates a stunning flooring for both practice and competitions. Durable and slip-resistant, artificial turf gives you the beauty of grass without the maintenance. Artificial turf is available in both tiles and rolls, so you can choose the option that is best for your facility.
Our Turf Athletic Padded Floor Roll features a dense, textured nylon wear layer, adding durability and keeping this turf looking great. The turf itself is fusion bonded to a recycled rubber base, giving plenty of cushion to both dog and handler. The tight nap makes this a great surface for training and competition, and you can't beat the beautiful look of the finished floor.
Our Turf Athletic Padded Interlocking Tile offers the same benefits of the padded floor roll, but in a conveniently sized tile. These interlocking turf tiles measure 23x46 inches, so you can cover larger areas with minimal seams. You can easily install these tiles, and can easily move and transport them.
