How to Unpack Your Dollamur Wall Pads
Your Dollamur wall mat rolls arrive rolled up and secured with clear tape. To unpack them:
- Use the straight edge and gently cut the tape. Use care not to cut through the packing material.
- Double-check the product label to confirm that you have the correct product.
- Save the extra piece of foam that’s used to protect the mat from the buckle. This flexi guide piece is useful for measuring and marking your mat.
How to Install Double-Sided Tape
Using double-sided tape strips allows you to temporarily install the wall mats and remove them as necessary.
- Using the flexi guide piece, measure and mark the walls to make sure that the hooks and loops are applied properly. Dollamur recommends installing a top, bottom, and middle strip of hook and loop tape.
- Attach strips to the top, bottom, and middle of the wall, leaving both sides of the hook and loop tape on the wall.
- Peel the paper off the back of the hook and loop so the side with the adhesive will stick to the mat.
- Stand the mat on its side. If there is a logo or any artwork, make sure that the mat is right side up.
- Slowly roll out the mat and press it against the wall as you go.
- Once the mat is fully unrolled, go back again, pressing it top to bottom and side to side to make sure it is firmly connected.
- Following the above instructions, attach the hook and loop tape to the wall.
- Liberally apply a recommended adhesive to the wall in between the hook and loop tape.
- Peel the paper off the back of the hook and loop tape.
- Stand the mat on its side. If there is a logo or any artwork, make sure that the mat is right side up.

- Follow the adhesive manufacturer’s instructions for curing time.
- Identify the fold where you need to trim the mat to fit around a corner.
- Fold the mat back, exposing its back.
- Using a utility blade, trim a 45-degree cut into the edges to fold the mat around the corner.
- Measure the length of the mat that needs to be trimmed.
- Place a small mark on each side of the mat where you need to cut.
- Use a straight edge to connect the marks where the new edge should be and carefully make a smooth cut from one edge to the other.
- Measure the exact location of the object on the wall, including its height, distance from the edge of the wall padding, and the exact size of the object.
- Using the measurements you took, place marks on the wall pad where it should be cut to fit around the object.
- Lay the wall pad down and carefully cut out only the section that needs to be removed.
- Pop out the unwanted portion of the mat.
- Stand the mat up against the wall to make sure the cut is the correct size for the object before you apply any adhesive.
