Proper Hand Positioning for Barrel Racing

To maintain proper hand positioning while preparing for turns while barrel racing you'll want to keep your hands low, down to your horses neck. Going into the turn keep them low and slow. In order to be fast, you need to be slow with your hands.

So keep your hands down on his neck, send him forward, go into your turn, lift, and then send him out.

It's very easy and it keeps your horse happy when you stay out of his mouth.
