So what we’re going to do here is we’re just going to ride through the cattle and kind of check them and get this filly accustomed to being around cattle and not having to be afraid of the cattle. Not that she’ll ever have that in her scenario in life, but it’s good to have that in the background of her mind if she needs to.
We’ll just ride up here nice and easy. We’re not trying to be invasive on these cattle. They’re laying down, so that’s a good thing.
We can check cattle for any sickness or any lameness or anything, and it’s also teaching her a little patience too.
I’ll ride up here to ol’ Rose.
Ride in amongst them and just get them up a little bit.
Making sure everyone’s doing good.
This is just a baby learning how to do something. She’s got other things on her mind. But just stay the course and tell her she can work for a living instead of just being a baby.
Stopping is the key to keeping your cattle quiet and keeping your horses quiet.
