How hot does playground turf get

As you know, nearly all outdoor flooring heats up in the sun. But just how much? In this video, we tested a a couple of our top artificial turf products for playgrounds by leaving samples of the turf in direct sunlight for just over 4 hours on an 81 degree fall day in Milltown, Wisconsin.
Play Time Turf (without padding) heated up by just over 40 degrees while we saw just a 25 degree increase in temperature in the Endless Summer Turf.
