We’ve been crashing weights on it for almost a month now, and I’ve been talking with my neighbors. They’re like, ‘We don’t hear anything. It’s been great. I’ve had a lot of people come in and say how much they enjoy it over the stall mats. If we’re doing box jumps or doing stuff with the jump ropes like single unders, double unders - it’s a little more springy. It doesn’t feel as hard on the joints.

The best noise reduction of pads we have tried, but they're quite pricey!

The flooring works. I would spend the money again in a heartbeat. We'd literally take the 70 pound kettle bell and chuck it in the air and throw it across the room as high as you can get it - and it absorbs all of that sound. The kettle bell, you drop it, and it's very distinguished. Then you take and a you chuck it onto the mat and it's almost nothing. Our games athlete, Tommy Vinas, can clean and jerk over 400 pounds and that drops from a push press position over his head directly onto the floor, and we have no complaints. It saved our business. It was worth every penny of the investment.

'For the sound test, we used a barbell that weighed 125 pounds, and we dropped it from an overhead position, a shoulder rack position, and the waist position - all three real common, where they would be dropping from. The difference between our old floor and the Sterling mats was like day and night. All our people really like it. It's a lot more forgiving on the joints, and the noise difference is amazing. The rule around here is the barbells stay on the Sterling mats.
