High Heel Test For Perforated Outdoor Flooring

Date Published: 10-18 - 2022

If you ever plan to host an event outdoors where people will be wearing high heel shoes, you'll want to consider what outdoor flooring product you'll be using in that space. While perforations in the flooring surface is great for water drainage and airflow, it's not always the best for certain kinds of footwear with pointy heels. That's why we tested some of our most popular outdoor floor tiles for stability and puncture resistance under high heel shoes.
The products tested include:
Patio Outdoor Tile: https://www.greatmats.com/tiles/interlocking-patio-tiles.php
Perforated Garage Tile: https://www.greatmats.com/garage-floor-tile/perforated-flow-drain-garage-tile.php
Portable Outdoor and Tent Tile: https://www.greatmats.com/portable-floor/portable-floor-outdoor-tent-tile.php
& Staylock Tile Perforated: https://www.greatmats.com/tiles/decking-tiles.php
All products passed the test on the durability side, but the holes in the StayLock Perforated Tiles, combined with the flexible nature of its PVC material did allow the narrow heels to slip into the holes.
