Basements are notorious for having unwanted moisture, which makes the choice of flooring here important. But don’t forget about the quality of the subflooring.
Our basement floor underlayment is ideal for use as a subfloor over concrete that may have seepage through the foundation block. It’s also ideal for a flood prone basement, as a broken pipe or overflowing washing machine won’t affect it.

As mentioned in the disclaimer below, because these tiles are softer, they will indent under heavy furniture or equipment. We recommend using furniture coasters to help with this issue.
Purchase ramped border edges that connect to the main tiles to finish the space beautifully and to reduce any trip hazard.
They have a durable design that can stand up to regular foot traffic, meaning they are usable in a wide range of locations around the house as the primary flooring. The black tile hides soils well between cleanings.
Disclaimer:
These tiles do feature subtle indents on the surface in the corners of the tiles. These will not affect the performance of the tile. Please note that these tiles will indent under heavy furniture because they are soft. Furniture coasters can help with this issue. When installing these over carpet, the results may vary based on how plush and padded the carpet is. The Staylock tiles are better on low-pile carpeting. Also, use a piece of plywood underneath as you are connecting them to make installation easier.
Maintenance
Recommended cleaning: Use vinegar and baking soda and hot water to clean the family of Staylock floor tiles. Do not use any cleaning solutions that contain bleach.
