Installation and Cleaning
When interlocking the mats together, they must all be facing the same direction. One corner of the
mat looks like a heart, so you can use this corner as a guide. For example, when installing turn all
the mats so that the heart shaped corner is in the upper left corner.
The mats are easily cut to fit for wall to wall installations. Each mat is 40 inches or 3.30 ft in
length. The border strips only add about 1/2" to the edge of the mat.
Allow approximately 1/2 inch gap around perimeter of room during installation to allow for mat expansion
which can occur with fluctuations in heat and humidity. We advise to keep any direct sun light off the mats
as this can heat up the mats and cause expansion.
Clean the mats with a damp mop, hot water and Pinesol. The mats can also be vacuumed and swept.
Its a good idea to use a separate bucket for the rinse water, so that the clean water stays clean longer.
Large areas can also be cleaned with a walk behind auto cleaning machine.

Review: We have kettlebell, kickboxing and other fitness classes several times a day and everyone wears shoes. They have held up well for the first year. The only problem we've had is that when we added additional floor space and ordered more mats, the original mats had stretched to the point that they no longer match the new ones. Hopefully, the new ones will expand to match. We would have planned our purchases better had we known that.

Review: I chose to purchase from great mats because I liked dealing with the great mats staff. They were professional, knew a lot about the various products and advised us on which mats would work best for our studio. They followed up the conversation with written quotes but didn't try to push the sale like other companies. They were also very helpful with our product delivery requests. We have had our new martial arts mats down for a few weeks. They look really nice and a lot of our students like them. A few of our over 45 adult students commented that their knees do not hurt when they do jump kicks and land on these mats.

Review: Recently opened up a Tae Kwon Do studio which has to be somewhat mobile due to other events happening in the same building and decided puzzle mats would be the best way to go. I looked around at several vendors and found Great Mats. After receiving these mats I am glad I went with them as they are just what I expected or even more. Review: We really are happy with the greatmats product. It provides a perfect balance between softness and support. The only negative comments I would have would be that it scratches easier than I would like. Also when you want a wall to wall application you have to use a lot more mats because of.the interlocking configuration, however thus was explained when we purchased them and we knew thus ahead of time.
