Plastic flooring is available in two types: hard polypropylene and soft PVC. Each type of plastic flooring is incredibly durable. For garages and warehouses, you can generally use either type. However, it is important to note that some high-performance tires will leave black scuff marks on PVC flooring. Therefore, for use with automobiles, we generally recommend PVC tiles be treated regularly with a sealant. Both types are capable of supporting extreme weight loads and resistant to oils/solvents. PVC is a softer, more pliable option which typically provides a softer flooring for standing or working. This makes it very popular in warehouses and other industrial environments. We manufacture a specific plastic flooring option, StayLock Orange Peel or Bump Top tiles, which are ideal for protecting your sub-floor from weights and equipment. StayLock flooring tiles are unique because they can be used over carpeting for aerobic activities or beneath workout equipment.
