Plastic Flooring Tiles
Rigid plastic tiles can support heavy loads which makes it a great product for floors where vehicles or forklifts will be operated. If you need a waterproof flooring material for workout areas in damp basements or where heavy equipment will be used, plastic is a great choice. It can support workout equipment without getting indentations like foam. It also provides more cushion for aerobic activities than rolled rubber or rubber tiles.
Plastic floor tiles are made of either hard or soft plastic and are designed for many outdoor, garage, and wet area applications. Soft plastic tiles are most often a modular plastic flooring for ergonomic, cushion, athletic, wet areas and outdoors. Hard or rigid plastic flooring tiles are made of polypropylene material and are used as modular snap together tiles in garage flooring, portable flooring, tradeshows and tent flooring. Our modular floor tiles are available inpopular colors that allow for creative designs. Use the Greatmats online floor plan designer where you can easily create complex room layouts, choose colors and determine quantities. Greatmats is a stocking distributor of modular plastic floor tiles.
Our plastic floor tiles are useful for a variety of applications. The type of plastic flooring you choose should depend on your particular needs. Whether its for the warehouse, garage or basement, plastic floor tiles are useful indoors and outdoors around the pool on the deck.
For outdoor use around pool areas, in playgrounds, or other outside applications, we recommend a perforated tile such as our StayLock perforated or Patio Aqua tile. These tiles are designed to allow drainage for water and airflow to permit the tiles to dry more quickly. Perforated plastic tiles also tend to stay cooler than tiles that do not have holes in them. These tiles also feature UV treated materials that will help them resist fading from sunlight.
Plastic floors are also great for garage, industrial, and warehouse areas. We offer soft PVC flooring and hard Polypropylene options. Both have their advantages. Poly plastic floor tiles are designed on a foot system. This keeps your floor tiles off the ground and allows air and water to flow beneath them.
PVC soft plastic tiles provide a more cushioned surface which is appreciated by people who work with tools in their garages and need a softer landing pad in case of drops. PVC also provides more sound dampening qualities than Poly. However, PVC tiles need to be treated with a PVC floor sealer to prevent tires from leaving black marks on the surface of the tiles.
We also offer a number of other plastic tiles for specialty uses such as artificial grass tiles, ground protection mats, and tent decking for large event tents. Plastic flooring is great for basement floors or home gym use as well.
