Size and Shape Options

This squarish tile has an approximate size of 20 by 20 inches, although installers do lose a little bit of the expected coverage area to the interlock edge. Each tile measures 6.5 mm in thickness, which is roughly equal to 1/4 inch. Should you need to cut these tiles to create a flat edge to fit tightly against a wall during the installation process, this material is thin enough to cut successfully with a utility knife.

This heavy-duty grade PVC (polyvinyl chloride) flooring is extremely durable, yet it remains lightweight. A single tile will weigh 5 pounds, which simplifies the process of having a single person lay out the flooring if needed.

Pattern and Texture Options

Our industrial floor tiles make use of a coin top pattern that provides a pleasing visual element and that delivers slip resistance for the flooring. The manufacturer molds the circular pattern into the surface of the floor, which prevents it from breaking loose under stress.

This anti-slip raised pattern is especially important with PVC because PVC does not absorb moisture or liquid spills. The liquid remains on the top layer of the tile, creating a potential slip hazard, until someone cleans it.

For those who want to install these tiles in an automotive location, the installer must apply a sealant to the surface of the flooring layout.

Installation Options

With the interlocking design on our tiles, customers can easily perform the installation themselves. Just line up the T-shaped tabs and slots on adjacent tiles and press the edges together.

Installers can place these tiles directly over bare concrete, even if that concrete has significant staining or cracks. The tiles will flex and conform to match any imperfections in the subfloor. Placing tiles over the top will hide staining as well.

Although you can glue the tiles to the subfloor to secure them, you do not have to glue them. Even without adhesive, they will remain in place without sliding around, thanks to the weight of the overall tile layout.

All three colors of these tiles use the same interlocking design, so installers can create a checkered pattern by mixing colors. However, the T-shaped puzzle edge will be clearly visible because of the color difference.

Cleaning and Maintenance Requirements

To remove dry debris from the surface of these tiles during daily cleaning, make use of a push broom, a vacuum cleaner, or a leaf blower.

Customers can run a mop over the surface of the tiles using a common household cleaner mixed with warm water. For huge installation areas, consider running an automatic floor-cleaning machine over the tiles on a low-power setting. Allow the flooring to air dry naturally.
