These mats have a tough vinyl top with a smooth surface texture, designed to last many years with barefoot and soft martial arts shoes. Street and tennis shoes and boots can scuff the top surface of these mats.

When interlocking the mats together, they must all be facing the same direction. One corner of the mat looks like a heart, so you can use this corner as a guide. For example, when installing turn all the mats so that the heart shaped corner is in the upper left corner.

The mats are easily cut to fit for wall to wall installations. Each mat is 40 inches or 3.30 ft in length. The border strips only add about 1/2" to the edge of the mat.

Clean the mats with a damp mop, hot water and Pinesol. The mats can also be vacuumed and swept. Its a good idea to use a separate bucket for the rinse water, so that the clean water stays clean longer. Large areas can also be cleaned with a walk behind auto cleaning machine.

This product is shipped via freight delivery - please review our shipping disclaimer. Mats are palletized and shrink wrapped. There are 5 mats per bag.

For applications with boots and shoes - use our Standard Martial Arts Mats 7/8" made of EVA high density foam in 40x40 inch interlocking tiles, these mats will last many years, and are completely waterproof. The mats are very easy to assemble.
