Eagle View Engineered Hardwood Flooring 27 Sq Ft per Carton is a contemporary wood floor that has a random sawn look and is hand stained for inspired color variations. Random length planks are in 6-1/2 inch wide and 1/2 inch thick.

Benefits of Engineered Hardwood Flooring

In any review of engineered hardwood flooring, it’s easy to see the significant benefits it provides. Its look has a timeless appeal for designers, adding value to the home.

It consists of the thin veneer layer of real hardwood on top of a plywood base layer. The plywood contains the tongue and groove-like connection system.

Using plywood as the base layer saves on the cost of the flooring.

The manufacturer runs the hardwood veneer layer perpendicular to the plywood base layer, which generates a high level of stability in the flooring. It also allows the floor to slightly expand and contract with changes in environmental conditions.

Our engineered hardwood flooring is extremely durable. It offers a limited 35-year manufacturer’s warranty for the residential finish. This delivers a low cost per foot when you factor in the cost over the lifespan of the floor.

Eagle View Flooring Design Options

The Eagle View model is one of the best options for creating a custom space in a home or in a cabin. It has a contemporary design with a random sawn look that highlights the beauty of the soft wood grain natural American maple top layer.

Several different color variations are available in this model. These range from dark browns to light browns to taupes. Within each plank, slight color variations also exist in the veneer layer.

Additionally, each plank has natural variations in the wood grain, all of which together deliver a realistic feel and look to the floor.

Each plank measures 6-1/2 inches in width. Variable lengths of planks are available in this product, measuring between 11 and 72 inches.

During the install process, it’s important to avoid having the short ends of the planks lined up in adjacent rows. The varying lengths in the planks will help to achieve this goal, while also contributing to the randomness of the layout.

Creating a random layout of the planks gives the flooring a look that’s similar to actual hardwood floors.

The product images shown here provide a reference for customers. We do not recommend relying solely on these photos to determine the full range of color, texture, and wood grain variations in the veneer layer. Understand that because of the natural wood veneer layer, each plank will have a unique look that may differ a little bit from the product images.

Eagle View Floors Installation Options

Individual planks have a tongue and groove edge, which simplifies the installation process. Those purchasing the Eagle View floor have a couple of different installation options.

Floating

When installing the flooring planks using the float method, the installer will not adhere the connected planks to the subfloor. The manufacturer does recommend using specific tongue and groove adhesive on the edges if choosing a float install to fully secure the pieces.

Because the Eagle View floor measures 1/2 inches in thickness, it’s heavy enough to work with the floating method of installation. Thinner floors measuring 3/8 inches or less would not work well for the floating method.

Secure

To secure the planks to the subfloor, installers have the option of using glue or brad nails.

When using the glue-down method for the planks, only use a urethane-based adhesive. Do not use water- or acrylic-based adhesives. Using some sort of moisture vapor protection system is important too.

For the nail-down installation, use 1/4-inch crown 18-gauge brad nails with the 1/2-inch thick Eagle View flooring. Place the nails an inch or two from the edge of each plank and three to four inches apart across the length of the plank.

Maintenance and Care

Caring for this floor is an easy process. Sweep, vacuum, or dust mop the floor at least once per week or more frequently as needed.

If vacuuming, use a brush or felt attachment on the head. Do not use a beater bar head on the vacuum.

Clean spills, pet accidents, or tracked-in soils as quickly as possible after they occur.

For those times where the floor needs wet mopping to remove stubborn spills, do not use water alone. Stick to a wood floor cleaning product. Excessive water could damage the veneer layer over time.

Maintenance

Sweep or dust mop your floor once a week or more with an approved floor cleaner. Spills, pet accidents, or tracked in dirt should be cleaned immediately. Never clean or wet mop with water, water may damage floor. Use a wood floor cleaner, do not use harsh abrasive cleaners.
