Brett Hart holds 2 Bachelors Degrees from Iowa State University (Ames, Iowa). He has worked in the sports industry since 2002 and the specialty flooring industry since 2015. He is a decorated former sports and investigative journalist with more than 40 Wisconsin Newspaper Association awards to his name. His writing has been published in various daily and weekly newspapers and magazines as well Black Belt Magazine and ESPN online.

A longtime sports enthusiast, Brett has competed in baseball, basketball, wrestling, football, cross country, track and field, tennis, volleyball and martial arts to name a few. He has more than 9 years of training in martial arts disciplines including Taekwondo, Judo, Jiu Jitsu, Hapkido and Muay Thai.

Raised on a hobby farm, he also helps his wife and kids run their hobby farm and has volunteered in both extreme cowboy racing and equine assisted therapy programs.
