Rooftop Turf Unofficial Temperature Testing

It is inevitable. Rooftop decks and patios will see a lot of direct sunlight. And with sunlight comes heat.
In this video we test 2 popular artificial turfs for rooftop patios to see just how much the turf heats up on the direct sun. Samples of both turfs were left in the direct sunlight for just over 4 hours on an 81 degree day in Milltown, Wisconsin and then the surface temperature was recorded using an infrared thermometer.
The products tested were La Jolla Turf and Endless Summer Turf. La Jolla heated up by just 14 degrees in the sun while Endless Summer Turf saw a 24 degree temperature increase.
