Basement Wood Foam Tiles, Interlocking Faux Wood Flooring, Home Wood Look Foam Mats

If you are looking for a durable, comfortable floor mat that gives you the elegance and stylish warmth of real wood, you need to order the Foam Tiles Wood Grain from Greatmats. These versatile faux are perfect for both home and commercial use, and they give your space a quality appearance that goes well with many different interior styles.

A Gorgeous Surface for High-Visibility Areas
Wood foam tile floors feature two wood grain colors and a natural cork design option. Use these foam faux wood tiles around the home, as the grain foam mats are great for basement floors or anywhere an upscale faux wood flooring look is desired.

When you order these foam floor tiles wood grain, you'll have three different options for surface design. You can choose Dark Wood, which has a deep brown, almost reddish color, or you can choose Light Wood, which gives the space an airy, casual look. You can also choose the Cork design, which has the complex appearance that you might see from a wine cork. Any of these surface designs will give your space an elegant, warm style.

Turn any room or trade show floor into a comfortable and warm environment.

No matter where you place these faux wood floor mats, you'll get superior quality, longevity, and a gorgeous appearance.

Uses for these Faux Wood Floor Mats
The potential uses for these foam floor tiles are limitless. From home comfort to commercial use; from permanent placement to mobile events, these tiles will meet your needs for years.

One of the most popular uses for these tiles is mobile trade shows and commercial events. The mats are lightweight, easy to install and disassemble, and provide cushioning for sales reps and company leaders who may have to stay on their feet for hours at a time. Thanks to their anti-fatigue quality, the mats help event workers stay active, energetic and engaged from start to finish.

The wood grain foam tiles are also popular for basement flooring because they are cushiony, comfortable, and stylish. Even basements with the most advanced waterproofing technology can have seeping, but these tiles are non-absorbent, creating less chance that they will harbor mold and mildew. Keep in mind, moisture can become trapped beneath the floor, so in cases of damp environments, periodic removal of the tiles may be necessary. Luckily that's a simple process.

Perfectly Designed for Home and Temporary Use
These wood foam tiles are made from 14 mm thick EVA foam. The faux wood foam tiles are 2x2 feet in size, and will easily interlock together. For fitting into oddly-shaped areas, they can be cut to fit, allowing for precise wall-to-wall installation.

Each 2x2 tile weighs roughly 1.2 pounds, so they are easy to pick up, move and install in different locations. The lightweight nature of these faux wood floor mats is especially important for mobile trade events.

The tiles have a universal interlocking edge that allows for a tight connection with virtually no gaps. The faux wood surface is smooth, and the installation can be completed without the need for adhesives or staples. Each order comes with border strips to create a clean edge.

Non-Absorbent for Superior Performance
One of the top advantages for these faux wood floor mats is that they are completely non-absorbent. They will not soak up water or liquids of any kind, which makes them ideal for basements that may have seepage issues or areas where drinks may be spilled.

The non-absorbent quality of these mats also makes them easy to clean, as you can use mops and sponges to clean specific area.

A wood-grain foam tile floor is totally waterproof and will provide an upscale look to your home or trade show.

A Strong Yet Cushiony Foam Material
These foam tiles are anti-fatigue and are made of closed-cell durable EVA foam. Thanks to the anti-fatigue quality of these faux wood foam tiles, they are particularly useful for trade shows.

If you've ever worked a trade show, you know how exhausting it can be, both mentally and physically. While a foam floor mat can't do much for your mental exhaustion, it can help with your physical exhaustion. When you stand over concrete, it can steadily wear out your leg muscles, causing you to become tired much faster. However, if you are standing and walking over a cushioning surface like these faux wood floor mats, you'll have more energy for the entire day. This extra energy just might lead to new customers!

These foam tiles are dense enough to withstand the weight of common foot traffic and are designed for light duty environments, but they are not recommended for kids' rooms.

We recommend using our Premium Foam Mats in solid colors and 5/8-inch thickness for most kid's room foam tile applications. The top wooden design pattern is a layer of film heat transferred to the foam, and can be susceptible to punctures and scratches. High heels can also damage the foam tiles.

Fast and Easy to Clean
Cleaning the foam floor tiles wood grain top is extremely simple, and can be completed with the basic cleaning tools you have at home. Most cleaning can be completed with a household vacuum cleaner. Before vacuuming the mats, test a small section to make sure your vacuum won't scuff the surface.

If needed, you can also clean the foam floor tiles wood grain using a damp mop. With household soap and warm water, simply mop over the area and dry thoroughly when finished. You can even spot clean with a sponge, but be careful to not use a cleaning surface that is too abrasive.

Because the mats are easy to disassemble, you can even take them outside for cleaning. When they are dry, simply press them back into place. The mats will not absorb any water, but make sure they are thoroughly dry before putting them back.

If you have installed the mats in a large commercial area, you can clean the foam floor tiles wood grain with a walk-behind auto cleaning machine. Again, be aware of potential scuffing.

Please Note:
Have your vacuum cleaner set at highest setting or just use hose and nozzle. Don't use power head.

Easy Installation, Fast Disassembly
You don't need construction experience or an engineering degree to install these faux wood foam tiles. In fact, if you can put together a puzzle, you have the basic skills necessary to install this flooring.

Allow the foam tiles to acclimate to your room before installation. The foam can expand with changes in heat and humidity, allow at least a 1/4-inch expansion gap for wall-to-wall installations.

The only tools you'll need for installation is a utility knife or box cutter.

If you are installing in a wall-to-wall layout, start by placing one tile in the corner of your room that shares the two longest walls. This tile should have two border strips attached, which come with your purchase. Then place the border strips and tiles along the walls until both are covered. Now you can work your way through the bulk of the room until you reach the areas where cut tiles are needed. You can now cut the perimeter mats to fit the rest of the room.

An island installation is even faster. All you need to do is place the mats where you want them and then connect the border strips around the perimeter.

And just like that, your installation is complete!

Although these wood look foam tiles are non-absorbent, they are not UV protected. This means they are more susceptible to damage from the sun and should be kept inside. We do not recommend these faux wood foam tiles for outdoor use, but we do have many surface materials that are great for home and commercial exteriors. When used outside, the foam tiles may expand and curl if exposed to direct sunlight in warm climates for extended periods of time.

Color and shade may vary somewhat from tile to tile within the same order. This is common with EVA foam tiles.

Q & A⌃ Back to top
Ask a question about this product

Product Questions:

What do you suggest for use to protect the foam tiles from table and chair leg punctures?
You can use a plastic coaster under the legs of couches, chairs or tables for example. Chairs that get moved around a lot, not sure.
Could these be installed on top of carpeting? We are renting a house with light colored carpet in the dining room and I fear my three kids will ruin it if I don't put something on top. I would prefer a surface that could be swept and wiped as opposed to an area rug. Do you think these tiles will work for this? Thanks.
Generally we recommend these tiles be installed over a hard flat surface. If the carpet is very think pile it might work.
I am wondering what to select for our basement floor that will hold up to kids dragging things across the floor. I have concern about the surface coming off right away. What do you recommend?
I would suggest requesting a few free samples, I like foam for kids, generally our premium foam tile is very popular.
Would you recommend this for outdoor use?
No, these EVA foam tiles are for indoor use only.
I am considering your product for a small kitchen (heavy traffic) and was wondering how well the finish held up? Any thoughts for this type application?
This product is generally not used in kitchens, the surface will wear well, that is not an issue. We do have free samples.
Is this product mold resistant?
Mold will not grow into the material, as the material is waterproof. Mold may grow anywhere moisture is present.
I am considering putting this flooring down in our rv. The only issue is there is a level deference between the main area and the slide...which is about a 1/4 difference. The differences not gradual...it is abrupt. What are your thoughts?
The foam tiles will show the variation in height, but it should be ok.
We are talking about putting this in our church nursery. We have bed babies to 3 year olds. We have a table with chairs and a few rocking chairs. Is this durable for this type of use? Also it is very important for it to be able to be sanitized. Can we use a steam cleaner and use a disinfectant for cleaning?
You can steam clean the tiles, the furniture will leave indentations in the tiles.

I love them! They are super soft, and they looks so pretty! People don't even realize it isn't hard wood until they step on it, and feel how squishy and wonderful it feels under the feet! Will purchase again if needed in future! A+++++++

We have a 41 foot sailboat that need the floors replaced. We used Greatmats and they are awesome. You can't tell the floors are not real wood and it has helped tremendously the insulation. We love that we can get them wet and they are not slippery.

Marion, NC

Customer Rating:

The tiles are well made and soft under foot. They served the purpose well in our tradeshow booth and looked great! At the end of the day, my feet were just fine, which is always the indication of whether the booth is properly padded or not.

After they arrived, it took a while to match up the pattern on the tiles. They look better when the wood grain continues from one tile to the next. They are manufactured in sets of four (2x2), so we did the best we could to figure out which four tiles went together, and it made a big difference in the look of the resulting floor. During that process, I applied tape to the tops of two tiles to label them. To my horror, when I removed the tape, the printed wood grain came off too, revealing a large white patch where the tape was. I won't repeat that mistake. It's clear that the printing is delicate. Those two tiles are now hidden under our table.

We used them for three days in the trade show booth. Chairs and high heeled shoes made permanent impressions in the tiles, but the look of the wood grain remained fine and I don't think anyone will notice. Based on the durability, I expect to use these for three to four trade shows before needing to replace them. To me, that's a perfectly acceptable investment. I would buy them again, knowing what I know.

I managed to find foam mats that matched our hardwood. Rhys did an amazing job helping to customize it. Foam mats=less neighbor complaints. #momlife #greatmats

Customer Rating:

This flooring was the perfect solution for our needs. We renovated an unused basement bedroom into a room for my sons very large Lego collection. You would not want carpeting in a room that was used for Lego play. This room also has a cement floor, so having a padded floor that was also insulating against the cold was important. GreatMats flooring was just what we needed. It installed very quickly. We are now looking for other ways to use this flooring, maybe around our billiards table.

Atlantic Mine, MI

Customer Rating:

My mom has severe arthritis in her ankles and feet, so painful that she cannot walk or stand on hardwood or tile floors for any length of time. Her new place was great with soft wall to wall carpet everywhere except the kitchen, of course. And she loves to cook and bake. I'd used those red, yellow, blue sets of 2'x2' foam tiles from the local home improvement store to create a workout space in my basement, so I knew foam tiles could make a difference. But using ugly concrete grey or children's primary colors would be beyond tacky. Then I found Greatmats. I was also worried whether Greatmats' wood grain tiles would look cheap and tacky in her home (especially next to the stained golden oak wood cabinets left over from the 80s), but they turned out wonderful. Yes, it's a lot of wood, but we were going for functional and practical and affordable. They were so easy to install - yard stick and a utility knife was all I needed. (Built in cushion to work on hands and knees - it doesn't get any better). What's more, it's been almost a year and they still look great. (We do put a coaster/leg protector under the dinner table legs and chairs to minimize the dimples - and they still pop back up). We've been careful to not spill anything that would stain, and to not to drag anything or wear heels that might tear the surface. And, as for mom's arthritis, she loves the foam tiles, and the tiles add insulation over the floor that's essentially on a concrete slab. (She puts an extra mat in front of the sink and stove, partly just to decorate). Everyone who visits pauses midstep to say, hey, this feels great and then is surprised that it's foam. Can't say enough. Best money I ever spent!

Here is our before and after of our basement floor. The floor is clean but dingy. We love how it looks now! So do the cats!

Newport, KY

Customer Rating:

This tile makes great booth flooring. I have no booth setup experience, and I set this up in 10 minutes. Take down was even easier. The other people manning the booth with me commented on how springy it was. CAUTION: Do not wear heels or set up heavy objects with small legs on this surface. It will cause indentation. All in all, it was cheaper for me to purchase and install these tiles for the show I was putting on, than it was to *rent* carpet and pad. Not to mention, now I have flooring for every show we go to!

We were absolutely thrilled with our flooring from Greatmats! We attended the International Home+Housewares trade show in Chicago. Our booth was made to look like a kitchen. The wood grain flooring tiles that we purchased from Greatmats were easy to install, priced just right and made our booth look amazing! Many people commented on how great the floor looked! It was very comfortable on our feet because were were standing for 4 days on it. We will definitely purchase flooring from Greatmats again for our next trade show.
