It is common for these tiles to be installed around washers and dryers. Something to keep in mind if you were to install them under washers and dryers is that the foam base will indent under heavy objects. And if your appliances are not balanced, the constant vibrations could cause the interlocks to separate. While the tiles are non-absorbent, should water get underneath the tiles, it can become trapped beneath the foam, so you will want to check underneath the carpet tiles in the event of a leak. If you find moisture under the tiles, they can be lifted, dried and re-installed.

This is not recommended for use on a roof deck.
