Most Common Product Questions For rubber gym floor at Greatmats:
Can this be used over carpet?
To use this over carpet, we recommend installing a layer of flat court tiles over the carpet first, and then placing the marley on top of the flat tiles.
Hi! can you use this for pointe shoes?
How does this floor sound with the marley on top for a hard tapper - will it hold up
The tap is very good as the marley is installed on top of the hard plastic tiles, it will last for many years in a commercial studio.
I received the Adagio Vinyl flooring for my top layer and the vinyl tape. I understand how to tape the pieces together, but I am unsure of what to tape it to on the sides? So do I tape the vinyl to the court flooring or the cement?
When installing this dance sub floor elite product, tape the vinyl to the plastic tiles. Leave the vinyl marley dance floor 2 inches short of the edge of the plastic tiles in order to tape half on the vinyl and half on the tiles.
Will the plastic tiles remain in place once they are put on top? The concern is if the Marley is being taped to the tiles, what is to stop it from moving around, especially if this is not installed wall-to-wall.
We have many installations like this and we don't have any experience with the plastic tiles shifting. They tiles have enough resistance against the bottom layer so that no movement occurs.
Would this be good under laminate?
We are not sure about laminate, its good under our Adagio marley material.
Does this price include both layers. Can these layer be bought separately?
Yes the price includes both layers and yes the products can be purchased separately.
We are looking for a dance floor to install in our upstairs bonus room. We want something that is safe for her since she will be spending many hours on the floor dance and also something that will help keep the noise of her dancing from being so loud the room below the dance area.
We would recommend our Elite Subfloor system as an underlayment with Adagio marley as the top dance surface.
We are building a garage this fall and we'd like it to be multi purpose for vehicles and for ballet and tap dancing. Would this be durable enough to park a vehicle on it? Or is there any other floor you'd suggest?
We do not have any floors for both autos and ballet or gym, its really one or the other.
can you use this for pointe? (with a marley on top)
The Court tiles with the Adagio Marley is recommended for pointe work.
Can this be used on a basement cement floor with radient heat (heat in the floor). Or if no, how quick is it to take apart a 10 x 10 area if we pack it up after my daughter rehearses? Thank you!!
Yes this dance subfloor package can be installed over concrete with infloor heating.
If I top this with Marley, will this be appropriate for tap and pointe? Thank you.
Yes and Yes!
