Most Common Product Questions For rubber gym floor at Greatmats:
I was told this product must be glued down, everything I read about it says it can be self laid it is interlocking....which is it.? Can I place this around an indoor pool? I really like the carpet feel, I think ? Will the chlorine damage it? Thank you
This is not a glue down product, its an interlocking modular tile designed for outdoor entrance areas in commercial buildings. Install over a hard flat surface only. Not sure about the chlorine and the carpet question, its not tested for this. We promote our all PVC perforated floor tiles for spa and pool surrounds.
does furniture and other items (backdrop displays) leave impressions/indentations on the floor?
This is a foam tile and may indent with tables, chairs and furniture. How ever in most cases the indentation will come back.
Will shoes or boots with heels damage floor
These tiles are not dense enough to stand up to high heels, consider a carpet foam tiles for use with high heels.
How well do these tiles insulate from the cold? I'm looking at using them on top of decking to to create a 4-season porch in Chicago. I will have closed in the rest of the area, but the biggest remaining heat loss will be through the floor.
The foam tiles will help insulate your space from the cold. However, they will expand and contract with temperature change. If exposed to sunlight, they may curl or warp as well. Please contact a representative for recommendations.
