Size and Shape Options

Each of our square texture floor tile pieces measures about 20x20 inches. Because of the interlocking edge found on these tiles, the coverage area per tile is a little less than you may expect at 2.75 square feet.

At 4.5 mm in thickness or about 0.177 inches, this is a thin and flexible tile, which greatly simplifies the installation process.

PVC shares a lot of properties with an epoxy coating. Customers would have to hire contractors to apply the epoxy over concrete in a garage, driving up the cost. Our tiles are far thicker than epoxy and cost quite a bit less.

One tile weighs 3.4 pounds, giving customers the ability to install them far easier than a roll of heavy flooring. A single person can handle the installation, although it will go faster with multiple people involved.

Material Options

PVC is a highly versatile type of material to use for flooring, which makes it a popular selection for businesses and homeowners alike.

As a textured floor tile, PVC delivers a 20-year manufacturer warranty. You will receive a good value over time with PVC tiles.

PVC is resistant to water, chemicals, and oil, so it will not absorb these liquids. You’ll have plenty of time to clean up any spills that occur. Additionally, PVC does not show impact marks or indents from heavy objects. It is abrasion-resistant.

When used in areas where excessive moisture is common, such as in industrial warehouses, on an assembly line, in a basement, or in a bathroom, PVC flooring resists the formation of mold and mildew.

Pattern and Texture Options

One of the best features of these PVC tiles is the modern look you receive with the textured pattern. Our textured floor tile will deliver a luxury feel that is difficult to duplicate with other types of similarly priced flooring materials.

The manufacturer molds the texture pattern into the surface of the tiles, which ensures it will not wear away under regular foot and vehicular traffic, as can happen with paint or decals.

You can select either red or royal blue solid colors in these tiles. These colors give your building an eye-catching look. (Greatmats also sells tiles with neutral colors for those who prefer that option.)

If you would like a custom logo printed on the surface of a four-by-four section of tiles, the manufacturer offers this option.

Common Use Options

Homeowners will install these tiles in almost any room of the house, including a bathroom, mudroom, or basement.

Commonly, commercial locations will use these tiles in areas where they need tough flooring. Warehouses and automotive garages may use these tiles to go over the top of a concrete subfloor. The flexibility of our tiles is ideal for hiding slight cracks and undulations in the original subfloor.

The tile layout can withstand the weight of vehicles like passenger cars. These tiles also frequently appear in an airplane hangar for those looking to park small aircraft or to work on them.

However, if you plan to drive large trucks or large forklifts over these tiles, we would suggest ordering one of our thicker SupraTile options.

Installation Options

Installation of our textured floor tile pieces can be a DIY project. Simply line up the T-shaped tabs on one side of the tile with the slots on an adjacent tile and press them together.

The T-shaped interlocking edges will hold the tiles securely together without needing to add glue to the edges. By not gluing the tiles together, customers have the option of disassembling the tiles and returning to the subfloor at any point in the future.

Because of the interlocking edges, this is not quite a seamless style of flooring. However, the interlocking seams blend into the textured surface and will be difficult to see after the final installation.

If you are planning to use this layout around vehicles, it is important to apply a sealant to the surface of the tiles.

Cleaning and Maintenance Requirements

Another benefit of our PVC textured floor tile is how easy this surface is to clean.

Start the cleaning process by removing dry debris from the surface of the tiles. Use a broom, a vacuum, or a leaf blower to remove dust and other unwanted particles.

For a more thorough cleaning, customers can use a common household flooring cleaner, diluted with warm water according to the instructions on the bottle. Use a mop or an automatic floor-cleaning machine to apply the solution. Allow it to air dry over a few hours, although you can use fans to speed up the process.

Clean with damp mop, hot water and common household floor cleaner.
