Diamond Plate Garage Tile

One of the biggest benefits of our diamond plate floor tile is the extra traction it provides versus smooth flooring. These tiles include a diamond-shaped pattern molded into the top layer of the PVC, providing traction in wet conditions.

The molded pattern does not extend a significant distance above the top of the tile’s surface, meaning it should not create a tripping or stumbling hazard for those using the floors.

The diamond tread also provides an eye-catching look, making these tiles suitable to use in almost any location in a home or business.

Each diamond plate floor tile is 19.75x19.75 inches, yield a coverage area of 2.7 square feet approximately. These tiles have a dovetail shaped interlocking edge that is easy to install.

At 4.5 mm in thickness (about 0.177 inches), this is a thin and lightweight tile. An individual tile weighs only 3.2 pounds. Installers can carry several of these lightweight tiles to the installation area, which makes the work go faster versus trying to install heavier tiles.
This diamond plate floor tile consists of PVC plastic. The polyvinyl chloride material has more flexibility than some other materials, providing a bit of comfort in an area where people will be standing and working or walking for several hours a day.

Unlike some other flooring materials, PVC’s vinyl top surface does not generate noise when people are walking over the top of it. These mats have the ability to support foot traffic as well as passenger car traffic in a garage.

PVC will last a long time while being easy to clean. PVC does not soak up water, so it is an ideal selection in areas where water and moisture may frequently appear. PVC remains resistant to impact marks and abrasions from rough treatment. Both commercial and residential locations can use PVC tiling successfully.

Customers can select among three solid color options black, dark gray, and light gray or other colors. Each color family uses the same interlocking edge, so installers can mix and match colors if desired. However, the jigsaw edge pattern will be visible if switching colors.

Because of the lightweight nature of our diamond plate floor tile product, customers can install the tiles in a wide range of locations: garages, retail stores, basements, sheds, storage or utility rooms, man caves, workshops, and more.

These tiles are tough enough to stand up to a variety of use cases in industrial or commercial locations. Customers can park passenger vehicles on them, and the PVC will not crack or collapse. (For those who need to support heavy trucks, forklifts, or large aircraft in a hangar, we would suggest one of our thicker PVC SupraTile options.)

Installation Options

Installation is an easy process with these interlocking tiles and will work as a DIY job. Just line up the interlocking edges on one tile with the edges on an adjacent tile and press them together.

These SupraTiles have some flexibility. Therefore, they can be installed over uneven or cracked subfloors.

Installers do not need to add glue to the interlocking edges to ensure that the tiles hold together under the stress of people walking on them and vehicles driving on them.

Should you need to cut the tiles to create a straight edge to fit tightly against a wall, a utility knife can go through the thin material in very little time.

Maintenance

Clean with damp mop, hot water and common household floor cleaner.
