Size and Shape Options

Each tile covers approximately 20 by 20 inches. Because of the T-shaped interlocking edge, however, customers will lose a bit of coverage space versus what they would expect to receive from tiles with flat edges. Each of these interlock PVC garage floor tiles covers about 2.75 square feet.

Each tile measures 4.5 mm in thickness (or about 0.177 inches). These tiles have a flexible design, which greatly simplifies the installation process. PVC plastic is not as rigid as some other types of flooring, yet its design is durable and long-lasting.

A single tile weighs only 3.4 pounds, which allows one person to carry multiple tiles to the installation location. It is easier to install these lightweight interlocking tiles than a heavier type of flooring.

Material Options

The PVC plastic, or polyvinyl chloride, in our garage tiles, offers a number of benefits. Specifically, our PVC garage floor tiles are tough enough to stand up to automobile traffic in a repair facility, in an auto dealer’s showroom, or in a residential garage.

Many people choose our PVC tiles in place of an epoxy flooring installation in a garage. Our tiles have a significantly thicker design than epoxies, yet they also cost quite a bit less than the installation of the epoxy coating.

PVC is a smart choice in areas where moisture will be a common problem, as it will not soak up water. It provides resistance to mold and mildew as well.

Additionally, PVC yields a greater level of sound absorption versus some other types of flooring, creating a more comfortable environment for those using the space.

Pattern and Texture Options

PVC garage floor tiles feel warm and comfortable underfoot, providing some cushioning properties versus a traditional cement floor.

This particular design of SupraTile flooring will have a raised coin top pattern. This creates a non-skid style of flooring. Even when the flooring has moisture on the top of the tiles, customers have a far lower chance of slipping.

The manufacturer molded the coin top pattern into the surface of the tiles, so it will not break off, even when you subject the tiles to significant foot or vehicular traffic.

Customers can select among three solid colors in these tiles black, dark gray, and light gray. These darker, neutral colors will hide soils better than light colors, which means customers do not have to clean the floors as often.

Common Use Options

Placing our PVC tiles in areas that demand a significant level of performance from the flooring is the best option.

Automotive repair garages and car dealerships are frequent customers for our coin top flooring. It can stand up to rough conditions and moisture without showing damage. It does need a sealant applied to deliver the required level of performance in an automotive setting.

These tiles also work well for industrial flooring and warehouse flooring in a commercial location. The slight flexibility in the tiles allows customers to use them in areas where the subfloor has cracks or uneven spots without showing the imperfections.

If you want to use this flooring in areas with heavy vehicular traffic, such as large aircraft, trucks, forklifts, or hand/pallet jacks, we would suggest selecting a thicker style of PVC plastic garage tiles that we also offer for sale.

Installation Options

To install these tiles, simply line up the T-shaped tabs on one tile with the slots on the edges of an adjacent tile. Then press the edges together, creating a tight fit between the tiles.

Customers do not have to place glue on the interlocking edges to ensure a tight fit that will last, even when placed under stress. Customers can glue the tiles of the subfloor if desired, or they can use a dry lay installation, which allows them to disassemble the tiles later and return to the subfloor.

Cleaning and Maintenance Requirements

When installing these PVC garage floor tiles in locations that can collect significant soil with the possibility of staining, having an easy-to-clean style of floor is ideal. Our tiles represent a commercial-level style of flooring, so they can handle regular cleaning processes.

Start by using a push broom or a vacuum cleaner to remove dry debris from the surface of the PVC.

When cleaning the tiles more thoroughly, customers may use a common household floor cleaner diluted with water. Apply the cleaning solution with a mop or run an automatic floor cleaning machine over the top. Allow the space to air dry.

Maintenance

Clean with damp mop, hot water and common household floor cleaner.
