Size and Shape Options

Each diamond plate flooring tile has a shape that is almost a perfect square, measuring 19.75 by 19.75 inches (or 1.64 by 1.64 feet).

Each tile offers 2.7 square feet in coverage. The tiles do have a jigsaw puzzle-style edge, which makes it a little challenging to calculate the number of tiles required to cover a certain space. The Greatmats customer service team can help with making an accurate calculation.

An individual tile weighs only 3.2 pounds, which gives customers the ability to install the PVC plastic tiles as a DIY job. One person can carry several tiles to the installation location and complete the work because of the lightweight design.

Material Options

Manufacturers of the SupraTile diamond plate flooring use PVC (or polyvinyl chloride) material in these tiles.

PVC is an outstanding choice for flooring, as it is an extremely durable material that is available in multiple colors and texture patterns. It offers far less weight per square foot of coverage than some other popular flooring options, which simplifies the installation.

Those who choose PVC flooring for either a residential or commercial installation will appreciate the value they receive. PVC will not show wear and tear, even when exposed to harsh conditions.

In areas with regular moisture, PVC will not soak up the water. This allows it to resist the formation of mold and mildew. PVC is resistant to many oils and chemicals as well.

Pattern and Texture Options

Our Diamond Plate flooring contains a diamond-shaped pattern that’s molded into the surface of the tiles. This ensures the pattern will remain in place without wearing away as quickly as a traction pattern glued to the surface of a tile.

The pattern appears in an alternating orientation, which delivers the maximum level of traction in wet or slippery conditions.

Additionally, the manufacturer offers these Diamond Plate interlocking tiles in a range of solid color options. This allows installers to select the perfect color for the planned use case. Color options include:

Greatmats also carries a style of this Diamond Pattern flooring that consists of neutral blacks and grays. Because all the tiles in this group use the same interlocking edge pattern, customers can mix and match colors in the layout.

Understand, however, that the jigsaw puzzle interlocking edge design will be especially noticeable when using different colors in adjacent tiles. The tile edges will not appear as straight lines.

Common Use Options

PVC tiles are extremely versatile, meaning customers can use them in a variety of locations with success.

Many customers make use of them in an automotive repair garage or in a residential garage, as they can support the weight of a passenger vehicle. Installation Options

Because of the interlocking design on the edges of these tiles, installation does not require hiring a professional. Just line up the tabs on one tile with the slots on the next tile and pop them together.

The PVC tabs and slots should fit together tightly without the need to add any glue. Installers can glue these tiles to the subfloor, but they do not have to use adhesive. The weight of the final layout should hold the tiles in place in most instances.

When seeking a wall-to-wall installation, installers may need to cut some tiles to create a straight edge that fits tight to the wall. Cutting through the thin PVC material is an easy process with a utility knife.

Cleaning and Maintenance Requirements

PVC flooring’s durability makes it extremely easy to clean. Customers can use a common household cleaning solution on these tiles without damaging them. They will not soak up water, so they can handle frequent cleaning and disinfecting processes as often as needed.

Before mopping the floor with a cleaning solution and warm water, customers should remove any dry debris and dust with a vacuum cleaner or a push broom.
